Alright, im trying to hook up my 360 and original XBOX to my T.V.

The 360 A.V. cables go into the side of my t.v. and my original xbox goes into the back.

The problem is that when I have both A.V. cables hooked up and turn on either the 360 or the XBOX there is no sound. Now If I turn on the 360 and unhook the white (Audio) cable from the back there is sound. Same for the original XBOX. unhook teh 360 Audio cable and there is sound.

I want to be able to have both completely completely hooked up and both have sound.

Can anyone help me on in this problem?

It sounds like either your wire hook up is crossed or that the circutry in your TV is messed up. Make sure (if your TV is like most others) that all of your cables match so: yellow cord with yellow inlet, red cord with red inlet, and white cord with white inlet and make sure they are all in the video 1 hook up and the same with the 360 (unless you have a hi-def hook up then you have three video wires) in video 2 and then you should be able to switch between them using the TV/Video button on the remote. If you are using a reciever make sure you don't have your wires crossed. If you know for sure all your connections are correct and it still happens then you should have your TV checked. Hope this helps.

It's not wires crossed. It's not my T.V.

I don't think you understood what I was asking.

E.G.

1) I hook up both 360 and xbox.
2) I turn on 360.
3) No sound from 360, but if I remove the audia cable for the xbox, I will get sound.

Is there a way to get it to have sound from the active console without unhooking the inactive one?

Yes there is a way but if you cables are hooked up properly your TV should be able to get the audio signal from either system without having to unhook the other one. If that doesn't work there is probably something wrong with your TV circutry but if it is new there should be no problems. The only othe thing I can suggest is to get an AV selector where you can hook everything up to and have it all go into one AV input in the TV and all you have to do is select the system you want. A reciever works quite also if you want to have a home theater system and you can have everything hooked up to the reciever and have the reciever hooked up to the TV. Then you can get some surround sound speakers and trust me once you get it just right you'll fall in love with your sound system like I did. The games seem to be more realistic. The cheapest way though, that I can think of to fix your problem is to get an AV selector or just call a tech. guy.

This AV selector seems the best way for me right now. Hook up my 64, if I still have it, and everything.

Thanks for the help.
