Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Where did you start with Bungie? Marathon, Pathways, Myth, Halo, or even Crimson? I myself started with Myth. I really enjoyed playing RTS games, but there weren't enough about medieval times way back when. Then I stumbled upon Myth about a week after it was released. I asked this guy at the store, "Whats this?" He said, "It's myth," and I was like "What's it about?" He said "It's fun, buy it. Take it home, play it." To this day, I still play it!

I started with Halo way long ago. Not as old school as you, but I've still gotten around.

I started with Halo Combat Evolved in 2006 or so.

My first experience with a Bungie game was Marathon. I would sneak on to my older step brothers computer and play it when he was out. I also ended up playing a lot of Halo CE with him when Gearbox ported it to the PC years later.

Not until 2006 when we got the original, gargantuan, Xbox and Xbl did I find Bnet. It took me 4 years to make an account here. Still wish I had made one earlier, I love this place.

Halo 2 was the best Halo game

Well the first Bungie made game I played was Halo Ce. I played co-op/multiplayer at friends houses. I bought my first Xbox and copy of Halo 2 (the first Bungie made game I bought) the day Halo 2 came out.

Bungie for me started out when Halo 1 was released. Oh, the countless hours playing LANs with people I knew. Then I discovered the wonderful world of Xbox Connect...Greatest thing ever invented in my opinion...

Halo: CE came bundled with Amped in an xbox package I bought.

Good place to start, Bungie was irrelevant before then.

Played Halo 2 at a friend's house in 2004. Been a fan ever since.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Halo CE, back in 2003, when my brother forced me to play with him on Legendary.

I got hooked instantly, and I still thank him for making me play my first time on Legendary. I got really good at Halo very fast.

I tweet?

I started with Oni. Oh how I miss that game now, I should get another copy.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I think I got Halo CE back in 2002 ( after seeing 'Game of the Year!' on the box), and have stuck with them, and then got Xbox Live on New Year's Eve 2010/2011, and found B.net in February.

I'm pretty sure my first Bungie game was Halo: CE, but I think I remember running into a demo of myth at Walmart before then.

Either way, I didn't really become a fan of Bungie until I actually finally got an Xbox and Halo: 3. I used to be just a fan of the Halo campaign and LAN/split-screen parties, but once I had the game for myself, with a single memorable experience in online multi-player, I became a fan of Bungie. The most amazing and unexpected thing happened to me.

I was just about to be spartan laser-ed by a guy when all of the sudden the laser went off and he just died. After I reviewed the video, it turns out that a grenade I threw (that didn't get close enough to the player to deal any real damage) shot two dead bodies into the air right in front of the laser at the perfect time and angle to make the laser reflect and shoot from the tip straight into the shooters face!

After that, I realized just how awesome and full of possibilities Bungie's games are. That they made it so so many random unrelated objects interact with each other so well that this could happen is astonishing. I would of never guess what happened and I'm sure Bungie didn't guess such a thing could happen either.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Halo 2...

Then halo 3, Myth, Marathon, Halo Reach, Halo 3 ODST.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.--Teddy Roosevelt

the first Bungie game I ever played was Marathon on a friend's computer, but that was infrequent. Like most people, the first Bungie game I owned and fully played was Halo: Combat Evolved on the Xbox. Probably both my brothers' and I's favorite map was Boarding Action 2v2.

Halo CE 2001. It came with my Xbox. The Xbox was my first console (apart from gameboys and PC). I was like 9 and saved up to buy it, then when I took it home I couldn't play it for like a week because of something I can't really remember why. I just remember constantly reading the back of the Halo and the Xbox case every day and night.

Boy I feel old, especially when over people started playing Halo from like Halo 2/3 or Halo in general after 04.

Halo CE in 2001. Got it for Christmas that year along with the Original Xbox.

2003 with the release of Halo PC.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

2003 release of CE for PC, then a short time later when Halo2 released I started playing console, well consoles that weren't Nintendo that is.
