One day, a while back, my boredom got the best of me and i began rereading anything about halo 2, including the instruction manual, conversations from the universe, etc. And when i looked over the third exerp from conversations of the universe (the two paged long one on page 3-4) i made the assumptions that this was a black box recovered from a covenant vessel (the name of the ship of the black box was sacred promise.. sounds covi to me). and the only time covi cruisers or capitol ships or whatever would be having a hard time as desrcibred as in the recorded events of the black box, in my opinion, would be if there were MAC guns. now lets just go on a limb and say those MAC guns happened to be over earth.. that would make sense because we know there was a battle or still is a battle happening over earth. at the end of the recording from the black box. a ship that did not eject its fuel cells (which probably would make a large dent wherever they exploded) was right about to collide with "the primary sattelite". sattelite = moon. our moon? a ship is going to crash into our moon?? why may i be so bold as to say its our moon and not reach's moon or somewhere else is because the covis described the sattelites atmosphere as almost non-existant.. sorta like our moon, huh.. so in Halo 3 will our moon be in danger or will these events already have taken place while the MC was on delta halo?

thoughts?

Sierra 173 - The Siegebreaker

That might have been involved with that moon level bungie was planning on having in halo 2 before they changed everything around. Not very usefull info now though.

Help a brother out. Click on the referral link, sign up for a fun game, log in once for the next couple of days, then you never have to think about it again!

And yes. I understand how pathetic that is, but nobody reads these things anyway... right?

That's a good theory, the only thing I'm doubting is the evidence that it's our moon (or 'satelite') and not another planets. Just saying it doesn't have a very good atmosphere doesn't limit it to our moon, it could still be any of billions of moons anywhere. Good theory though, I got too bored to read those "conversations from the universe".

what would the importance of this be in the conversations from the universe if it had nothing to do with the halo 1, 2, or 3's plot. just think, the moon gets blown to smitherines and that would be permanent. seriously altering the mood of this attack. as in you cant recover from the friggin moon exploding. we cant just give it a band aid or something. it would totally add to the despertation and darker feel of the plot of halo 3 too in my mind, dontcha think?
