I don't think some lame ol' meteorite wiped out the dinosaurs anymore.

This has nothing to do with Halo 3.

  • 05.12.2006 8:58 PM PDT

It might... if the poster would finish his thoughts.

Scientists beleive that a large meteorite impacted the Earth, wiping out the dinos.

During this time was a "great extinction", where like 95% of all life simply... died.

That 5% includes bacteria, and bacteria have such small biomass that they would not be affected by the rings.

So what im saying is that Dinosaurs were wiped out by the halos. A silly meteorite couldnt wipe out that much life.

Help a brother out. Click on the referral link, sign up for a fun game, log in once for the next couple of days, then you never have to think about it again!

And yes. I understand how pathetic that is, but nobody reads these things anyway... right?

You guys are too uptight! If you think about it, his point is funny in a very Ironic kinda way! The covenant killed off the dinosaurs last time they invaded!

OMGZORZ! IF THE COVENANT KILLED THE DINOSAURS, THAT MUST MAKE DINOSAURS THE FORUNNERS! I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T SEE IT EARLIER! IT'S BEEN RIGHT IN MY FACE THE WHOLE TIME!

lol, just playin' with you guys .

The Halo story is fiction, it didnt actually happen in REAL life.

Sierra 173 - The Siegebreaker

Well I guess if this where to be tied into the HALO trilogy the previous HALO firing wiped out the dinosaurs, turning them into precious fossel fuel :P. I don't reall want to think too far into it all though. I just like shooting alien monsters at my discretion.

My guess for the Halo plot is that it will turn out humans will be decendants of the forrunner. (Preserved from destruction by the Ark). It doesn't take a genious to figure that out just because of its name that it protects things from Halo. So...that thing on Earth is obviously the Ark...I'm guessing that the Ark...if thats what it is, is being put on stand in the announcement trailer since by the time the chief makes it to Earth the Ark would be prepping for stand by.

(Off topic part: But that does make you wonder how practicly so many things died just like that...nature is a crazy beast!) We just gotta see what happens and make stuff blow up. And preferably the stuff blowing up isn't me...

When 2552 (For lack of the date of the Harvest Incident) rolls around, I will take your views into consideration.

well obviously the halos didnt wipe out dinasours for real but it could be a good idea for the "halo universe". Fictionally, mabye the halos killed all life and mars too but earth was the only planet in the sol system that could regenerate life thanx to the ark

I think this is kinda funny.... cause when Halo was first created, it was going to be for Mac Computers... and they were going to have dinosaurs in it... its in the very first Halo trailer ever released... lmao
