Ok. For me, H2 went by way too quickly. Yes, by normal standards there were sufficient levels to make the game playable, but it felt like there was far too much story/objectives packed into each level.
I think for Halo 3, the game needs to take longer to beat, especially considering the amount of storytime needed to finish the plot. But not too long, because it would be blasphemy to think of H3 as boring after a while.
So lemme know, how long should this game be???

*rofl*

I like how we have one guy whose sole job is to design the Chief's visor.
I bet it's the envy of the guy who designs the Chief's ass plate.

Support the Kitty cat sniper

My mommy says Im special, and she also says join Thee Blacklist

It should have a good 15-20 levels with a couple of objectives in each level.

When i read that you could "go to the mountains in the distance" it almost makes me wonder if the whole game is like one world, or at least a ton of massive levels.

Just a thought.

9 very well done levels that each have a conclusive ending and not divided up into sort half levels by minor cutscenes as we experienced in halo 2. Such as when we had two levels per every "phase" of halo 2 such as every time we switched between arby and MC it would be two levels in his shoes and then two levels in his shoes yet those two levels could have been streamlined into one longer for the two of them.

Also no boss challenge levels. Bosses added to halo was the worst addition since gas chambers to concentration camps (both resulted in horrible results).

Alright, let me add some more clarification to this: Tell me why you think there should be that many.

I would like it to be longer then both lengths of halo and halo 2. thats perfect for me. nice lengthy levels and proper for a next gen game.

If the storyline is as boring as halo 2, I'd have to say make it less.

Taking it back to my N64 Perfect Dark days, I also think there should be an option to play all the cutscene movies at once or chose which ones play, once you beat the game anyway. I always like cutscenes...

I think HALO 3 should have so many levels it wold make your head spin faster and longer than the HALO wepon can shoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because it's supposed to be the last HALO game and should go out with a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGG GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And a huge war that u just have kill coves on the frontlines with the Mariens. And not that many cut seens for more game play.

Look... I'm on bungiepedia!

25-30 Levels with the same big, difficult, long lasting level style of play as in Halo CE.

There will most likely be another (or two) more playable characters..Kelly and the Arbiter..Plus new enemies to intro from books and such.

Have long cutscenes as well to make us feel like we're really talking to the people rather than gunning them down and -blam!- always..

I say levels as long as Halo's with cutscenes about twice as long..

Let us watch any cutscene we want from the menu after we get to that point in the game as well..that's always great. Oh, and I like how in Halo 1, some cutscenes had more harsh language for higher difficulties..you should be able to see those changes as well =D

I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

As long as the game is worth the 50 dollars I spend on it, I don't care.

  • 05.12.2006 9:28 PM PDT

meh........

Oh.... somewhere between 3 and 4 million. You know, a pretty long game.

I think they've gone back to the more open, less linear level type for Halo 1 (Especially after what Frankie said on the last update). And if that's true, then I'd say we have very little to worry about in terms of length.

My only real concern is how they handle the Flood (I skip these levels alot in campaign) and the whole "The Covenant is split in half" thing. I mean, I would feel better about fighting against ALL the different types of covies at once than with this three-way crap raging the entire game.

If Team Swat became ranked, would there still be no shields?

Amazing!

Depends on the size and length of them

Anywhere from 8-12 levels that are massive would be great.

Also, any levels large as Halo: CE's size would be 12-17 levels. I can see it.

Let's hope.

But keep in mind that cutscenes that are twice as long take up more room on the disk, and they still need room for all the graphics, gameplay, multiplayer, live support, audio, character generators, etc. There is only so much that can go onto a disk.
I also seem to remember hearing somewhere that H2 maxed out the graphics capability of the xbox. If that's true, it took up a tremendous amount of space on the H2 disk.

Just a thought.

They mean the mountains are physically there, but there's nothing to do there..Ever gotten on top of Delta Halo the first time you go there? It would be like that..a place holder, with less pixels/detail..Just so they don't use a picture for the background. That's not very next-gen..

Plenty of games have multiple disks..Though this wouldn't be convenient to have to take an extra 10 seconds to switch them out and start it up..

They could split the campaign into two disks, and have all the multiplayer on one. The LIVE wouldn't take much, just a friends list and party system for online co-op.

They could alwas put MP on a difrent disk to fit more things on it. They could also make the HALO 3 campaign to where u can play it with people online because of the massive amount of Coves that are bound to be on Earth from the invasion. And there should be on disk 1 a xbox live campaign and then if u want to play offline there would be a nonxboxlive campaign. And on xboxlive campaign there would be even more Coveis than on nonxboxlive.
