They should listen to me and make 2 levels. 1 level would be earth... just one big earth where you can take like, a ship to france... and snipe from the Eiffel Tower. Or take a banshee to like Sweeden and take chilly baths. The other level would be Another Halo. And you could like, walk the entire Halo by following the yellow brickway.
Then you could explore every bit of the Halo... have you ever taken the sniper level in Halo 1 and zoomed towards the opposite side of Halo and thought "Hmm, I wonder whats over there"

... yes. They should do that.

i say 14 to 18 levels and IF it is the last halo installment (wich it prob wont be sience it sells more than any other xbox game so whay whould they stop) thae it should toe up ALL the loose ends including what it written in the books. and i think that there should be more outdoor levels with more free raoming like in the second level of halo CE. thats was really fun. I hated the monotany of runing around in covenent construct just fighting the flood or grunts and jackals. i liked fighting hunter and brutes mire and thats really fun so more of that. I also think that the ranged wepaons should be of more use, and that the BR holds 60 rounds again for the game and online play. I think 36 rounds is annoying to always have to be changing when you trying to scope from a medium to long distance.but im not knocking it halo2 is the best multiplayer game ever and i dont think bungie will dissapoint.

Hm for the main campaign i think there should be 15 levels.

BUT: There will be another 'hidden' campaign, only can be unlocked once you beat all 15 levels on legendary. The 3 extra levels will take place in the past history, The Fall of Reach, before the Pillar of Autumn jumped to the firs Halo

Let's face it. Halo and Halo 2 weren't that short. Well, if you always play in Easy or Normal, you can clear them in 10 hours each. But, playing game at its full glory, Heroic or Legendary I mean, it takes up much more time. I can say that I want Halo 3 to have about 15 big, pleasant, beautiful levels, fewer Flood [although Bungie can make Flood more pleasant, for that I'm sure].

i think they should make 2 disks one for the campaign and one for the multiplayer part, so there is enough room for graphics and more lvls and other stuff.

just a thought

Alright, not the thread for weapon ideas.
It's true the Halo games sell A LOT, but how could Bungie keep it going. I can't see the story going past Halo 3, unless they want to make it a soap opera. Seriously, how can that work? Unless they make the levels too large and not enough so that we need ANOTHER cliffhanger Halo game...

How many of us actually want to go through all the waiting and suspense of ANOTHER Halo game. I want it all in H3.

Halo 3 should tie up all the loose ends from all 3 books, and Halo 2. Explain the things going on in cinematics and we're alright, we should get a lot out of this game.

I doubt that they'd make one past Halo 3 ['s timeline], they have two books to base two games off of..And they're both very action packed as well. And they help out with the Story.

To further people's knowledge into the things that will happen in Halo 3 (the people who are lazy and don't wanna read...or who have read them and wanna see them in real time - me), they can make prequal games...


Make a Prequal to Halo CE (Fall of REACH) and a Prequal to Halo 2 (First Strike)
If any of you haven't read these books, go do it. They're great. and they explain most of the Story..well more of it.

They could probablymake one more game without milking the series for too much...Make one that takes place during Halo CE and you play as a Marine stationed at Alpha base. You need to fight and go through all the battles in the book and more that Bungie could think up. Maybe even meet up with the MC in some to bring back the original levels. Pilotable Dropships anyone? =D

You'd play as the MC till the Covenant come to REACH, then you switch back and forth between the MC in space and Fred on the ground. Also the people on REACH survive..well some. How kick-a$$ would that jump out of the moving dropship be?

Okay, Linda survives, Fred, Will, Kelly, Anton, and Li survive...(there may be a few more I forgot about), so not all of the Spartans die. And the chaos near the end would kick ass. So would be getting shot at by the Jet..

Alright, alright. I'll give you that. That definitely would be fun. But it does seem to be stretching the Halo markatiblity to it's limits. It would probably be the last Halo game Bungie could sell to the mass market. After that, Halo would be too overdone...

Not really..after Halo 3 we still need to go more into everything that [should be] solved in Halo 3. We can't have enough cinematics to go into detail onto things from the 2 books we never saw in either games..

Stats Don't Mean Anything If You Cheat

Can't put a number on levels as it depends on the size of the area each level takes place in but there should be a clear ending to each level rather than a quick cutscene just have to hope 2006 gets a move on now

I just pray for one thing...please change the whole look of the game, and way the guns fire.
..Well Halo 2's multi was perfect, so something like that with a new physics engine..

..I cannot stand the campaign thoug, it makes me sick when I play. Everything seems too tall and slim..I wish things were wider and more open like in Halo 1, and keep many closed Hallways for fighting as well as large open areas with Artillery (Like in the E3 demo for H2) going on..

I'm not sure I get it. Do you mean the actual physical shape of things in the campaign, or the perspective on your screen. Me, I had no problem with the campaign, and enjoyed the "epic" feel of things. Maybe not epic, but definitely felt like I was there in the game.
And if it's true that the graphics generators and textures are as good in gameplay as in the announcement trailer, I don't think Bungie will need to do anything to change the feel of the game.
And what Angus C said is true as well. You can't define game length without knowing content.

20-25 sound right. But one thing I missed from H1 was when you beat a level on a difficulty, it showed the symbol right on the level. In H2 it didn't, exept if you dug into the options, but even then, if you started the story on Normal difficulty, beat it, than decided to do Legendary. When you beat legendary, it still says Normal...a little off topic...oh well.lol

Yup. Would be nice to have visual logos on the menu to "prove" you've beaten everything on Legendary. I still like the idea of bonus levels for beating the game on Legendary...
