My point is in the video a banshee flys past the chief like 3 metres away from him he dosen't attack it and it dosen't attack him so they might have formed some truce.

if you beat halo 2 you would know that humans and covenant have allied

  • 05.12.2006 10:42 PM PDT

No matter what you do in life, you will disappoint someone.
No matter what you say, you will offend someone.
No matter what you think, someone will think you're an idiot.

Find and eliminate these people.

Or they were all simply more focused on what there orders were.

The Banshees: You control Earth, and there is a massive forerunner structure in front of you. You see some dude standing there, chances are you don't care.

Master Chief: There's a massive amount of enemies, you may be the MC, but chances are you won't be able to fight off everyone. Attacking=death.

Not necessarily. You teamed up with the Arbiter, not all elites. He might not have as much influence as you think or not have the support of all elites. Just because you're buddies with one guy doesn't mean you're buddies with everyone.

Umm, if im not mistaken the covies took over earth. They are not on our side. If bungie put elietes on our side I am gonna kill the project lead! The backbone of the covanant are the elites. I bet they all come back together in Halo3.

They didnt see him.... radar..... and the coveneant and humans aren't allied... elites, hunters and grunts are okay with the humans.... brutes, prophets, jackels and buggers are stilll against.

then again... not all the covenant know about what happened on high charity...........

Im talking about in the video the banshees fly right past, but that truce between humans and covenat is only on halo (at the moment, in the final cutscene the covenant and human forces are still engaging each other, thats my point

Actually they didn't.......the Arbiter and his immediate troops did. Persuading an entire civilization will take a little more elbow grease.......

......eww, elbow grease.

Maybe his suit made him invisible from above, maybe they had something better to do, maybe it was just a trailer?

What if arbiter and his elites were in the phantom and the banshees. They wouldnt shoot him. Would also kinda be why theyre just flying in there like that

Look.. Firstly the banshees in the trailer are empty. We know that there are two species of Covenant that can fly them: Elites and Brutes.

We also know that the Elites signed off, they no longer take orders from High Charity or the remaining prophets. That doesn't mean they would not kill Master Chief on sight. We can't know. The banshees in the trailer maybe either friendly or villain. Chiefs armor is so badly worn and it has lot's of sand on it.. so that could count as a little bit of camoflauge.

Secondly, even if they would have spotted chief.. they clearly have orders to do something much more important, in this case.. escort the important-looking phantom. Now we better hope that the banshees, phantoms and capital ships in the trailer are enemies, because if they were friendlies, It's absolutely clear that the ones activating the artifact would be enemies. (and that we do not wish, now do we?)

If you are still not impressed, think yourself in the banshees position. You see two things.. You see your salvation just few miles away in the horizon, and then you see this lonely enemy soldier standing on the cliffside and obviously he cannot do anything to your salvation, since he is on foot and so far away. Plus you know that when your salvation is activated that enemy soldier will die or something like that anyway.. And you are also under a direct order from your superior to escort and protect him.

But, that guy, arbiter has aLOT of influence on the elites.

fixed your quote

He may have alot of influence, but how quickly does the influence travel from Delta Halo all the way to earth? Plus, it could be the brutes instead of elites, so it wouldn't matter.

If you noticed, there were already like tons of cruisers waiting for the holy light to come...and then the elites fly in suddenly and try to stop it, and then they see it open and start running away while all the other brute controlled cruiesers just stare at it. In the end of halo two the white armored elite guy talks of getting a cruiser back and stuff, thats why it took em a wee bit to get there...

Even if that weren't true, what if osama bin laden walked right in front of you while a meteor was directly above you in the sky right about to kill you...would you kill osama or stare at the meteor...

how do you know

  • 05.12.2006 11:28 PM PDT

I don't believe that Truth activated the Ark, I think it's signalling to the remaining rings that it's not covered in thousands of tonnes of sand anymore.

So Truth comes in his phantom to see the 'Holy' ark and if a man has noticed whats he going to do about it?

Then the Ark signalls and he and the Brute controlled ships withdraw cause they have no idea what the hell it's doing.
