Subject: Reach is bad. Why?

It's not bad. And you are a Forerunner. How can someone who thinks a game is "bad" play it so much? Your stats undermine your argument.

Why are we still complaining?

I'm not complaining. I like Reach. The first step in any problem solving process is to identify the problems. Refer to to my other thread for the next step in the problem solving process.

I like Reach too but all of this is redundant information that everyone already knows. 343i's almost done patching Reach so I don't think pointing out flaws anymore (especially on this website) will bear any fruit.

At this point most of us are just camping out till Halo 4. Reach has run its course

Without The Flood, I wouldn't know what an opinion is.

Undermine? How so? If anything, his time investment into Reach gives further credibility to his opinions.

Anybody who has stuck around for as many games as he has clearly likes Halo. With that many games under his belt, it's pretty safe to say that he probably has a decent knowledge of the game's mechanics. As such, it's unlikely that he's here to trash the game, rather it's much more likely here because he really likes the game and wants to see the game become the best he thinks it can be.

I of course, can't guarantee that those are his reasons for sticking around here, but those are mine at least.

The sandbox is just terrible.

See subject line: Reach is Bad, Why?

I hate Pokeman. I think it is a bad game. I would not however, play over 7000 games of Pokeman.

OP obviously does not think Reach is bad based on his/her behavior. His behavior suggests (highly) that he is trolling.

By this I hope you mean all bad kids that whined about sucking at Halo 2/3 which led to Bungie dumbing down the game.

What made Reach multiplayer bad:

-strafe acceleration
-slow movement speed
-low jump height
-bloom on precision weapons
-loadouts
-over powered grenades
-homing grenades
-general grenade physics
-armor lock
-active camo
-long kill times
-poor map design
-lack of ranked playlists
-lack of party size restrictions

What else?

Their are some reasons for this.
-strafe acceleration === This does suck.

-slow movement speed === You are a Spartan 3.

-low jump height === You are a Spartan 3.

-bloom on precision weapons === Bloom has always existed in Halo Games. Itis just visible in REACH.

-loadouts === New Feature which Spartans 3 had.

-over powered grenades === Grenades were more powerful in Halo CE.

-homing grenades === Please explain.

-general grenade physics

-armor lock === Totaly OP, much beter with TU.

-active camo === Sucks, sucks even more with TU.

-long kill times === Due to AA (This sucks)

-poor map design === Agreed, Halo 2 has had the best selection of Maps.

-lack of ranked playlists === Arena failed

-lack of party size restrictions === Why is this a problem

True, but most people still post on Bungie Net. Im sure 343 are watching these forums for feedback.

I don't think REACH can be fixed any more, and why waste your time, when your working on Halo 4.

But it is nice to see what people think is wrong so 343 do not duplicate these problems in Halo 4.

Some problems (Bloom) are not problems. Halo has always had Bloom.

Bloom is great it just needs to be implemented better, The randomness of Bloom sucks.

It may have existed in the other Halo's but it wasn't nearly as strong and stupid in the other Halo's as it is in Reach, at least not on "Precision" weapons.

Agreed, and they were overpowered then just like they are now. They had grenades perfect in Halo 2 and 3.

-lack of party size restrictions === Why is this a problem
The only thing that ruins my games in Big Team Battle are groups of eight mid-to-high ranked, ridiculously organized players that get together in a party and decide: "Hey, let's go -blam!- unorganized, randomly thrown together teams in BTB because Bungie didn't bother to limit the party size. Oh, and then let's pretend we won because we're good and not because we need people constantly holding our hands in order to survive."

They call me The Raptor due to my extreme interest in dinosaurs specifically velociraptor.

-strafe acceleration
What?

-slow movement speed
In Reach You are a Spartan-III which is generally slower than a Spartan-II

-low jump height
Read above it is basically the same reason

-bloom on precision weapons
In real life the military marksmen do not generally fire shot after shot in rapid succession with their sniper rifles or pistols

-loadouts
Opinion

-over powered grenades
It is a grenade

-homing grenades
You are talking about the Plasma launcher right?

-general grenade physics
Say what?

-armor lock
Let me guess, either you stuck someone and they wint into al or you tried to splatter someone in al

-active camo
A -blam!- load of red dots suddenly appearing on radar = active camo

-long kill times
Is that because of al and camo?

-poor map design
Opinion

-lack of ranked playlists
Kinda moot when there is barely even a ranking system

-lack of party size restrictions
*Looks at party size indicator* I am pretty sure there are restrictions.
