"It is often repeated: 'Had we acted sooner... Had we acted more decisively...' Living in the past is a luxury we can no longer afford. We must learn from it, but we cannot live there. We cannot even plan for the now, for the present is ever fleeting.
The future is where we must live, the future is what we must plan for." -Forerunner soldier

Is this a possibility? Many a time I've found myself searching a thread I've posted in just to see if someone quoted me to either argue or agree.

As I love arguing (politely) I would like to have something that tells me when someone quotes me so I don't have to spend time scrolling through a large thread just to see.

Probably mentioned before, but oh well...

Thoughts?

It's been brought up before, but more as a "Notifications" option. I almost recall Achronos posting in a thread about it but that'd be like digging for gold.

Either way, it's a nice thought and would be a nice touch. We want a lot of new things here, it's up to the Web Team to make it happen.

I would love a notification system for Bungie.net. I think it would be one more way to further develop the awesome community we have.

I was a finalist :P

I would prefer a tiny pop-up in the bottom corner of the page, with a hyperlink to the post in it - as opposed to to an inbox message. Primarily because it's more convenient and a little bit quicker.

Yeah, good point

Ready are you? What know you of ready? For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own council will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph. Adventure. Heh. Excitement. Heh. A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless.” -Yoda

I've always wanted something like that!

I don't think I would personally find it very useful. Although, this has been generally received as a good idea.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Luckily, it won't be a problem until site traffic and interaction pick up when the new Destiny update is posted. Or if you are posting a lot of forums.

Who the hell do you think I am?

Nahhh, my inbox would fill up WAAAY too fast, I don't think that's a good idea.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

This would be a nice feature, but not a PM. Just a separate notification.

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

That is what I was thinking. I would wan't to check my inbox all the time, and see a message from Disembodied Soul saying " you've been quoted by so and so".

Good idea, but only if the default is having it off - so members can choose to be spammed.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I would love that and hope it happens sometime. But I would like it to be a separate system, looking at a PM takes too long. I have a feeling some people's inbox would quickly become unmanageable.
