Forging for crappy gameplay mechanics isn't easy.
Maps are designed with concept behind them, with no concept, there is no map. With no plan, there is no concept, that's the way you do it :D
That is true, which is why ODST invasion is taking months of continuous revisions. It's all about the concept/design.
But my point still stands. It's very difficult to build maps for Reach gameplay because of how many variables there are to be considered.
I'm not sure what ODST invasion is, but I'll try to understand that-
If the variables complicate things, simple but elegant concepts still stand fine, take a box, with teams on opposite sides. Add small ideas and designs to these small ideas, and you get blood gulch.
