Subject: Why didn't the Forerunners help us? (lotta text)

This might contain spoilers to those who have not watched Halo: Legends and possibly other Halo games. The following is just a sum up of the story between Pre-Historic Humans and the Forerunners up to 100,000 B.C. If you don't want a lesson, just skip to the last paragraph.

So, as those who know the back story to Halo, the humans around 100,000 years ago (known as pre-historic humans) rivaled the Forerunners with Tier 1 Tech, the second highest under Tier 0. The pre-historic humans also were allied with the Prophets when this was happening. Mind you this was when the Flood was first discovered.

Humanity bravely combated the Flood and even developed a cure (maybe not a cure, but something to combat the Flood really effectively). Humanity at this point (which still rivaled the Forerunners) grew desperate and full on attacked the Forerunners for land with the help of reverse engineered Precursor technology (the only known race to reach Tier 0 technology and preceded both humans and Forerunners, and the Prophets.

Eventually Humanity was pushed back and so were the Prophets. Holding out for 50 years on our homeplanet, humanity fell. As punishment, the Forerunners decided to strip us of our technology and landed us back on Tier 7 (the lowest technology achieveable). At the same time we destroyed the only cure to the flood.

Eventually the rest of the Halo timeline happened, the Forerunners fell to the flood but preserved almost, if not all races, including us humans and everything else.

Well, that was a bit of a lesson just for this question, but I decided to sum all of it up in case you were wondering things like who were the prehistoric humans. So yeah, why didn't the Forerunners just like, loan or give us planets and find out why the P.H. attacked them? I mean, from the perspective that I'm reading, it just seems like the Forerunners acted on impulse and didn't bother communicating? It also seems like a lack of communication and a-holeism by our part for not just telling the Forerunners the potential of the Flood and not just giving the Forerunners the Flood cure. I don't know, something tells me there was no form of communication for all this to happen.

Thoughts?

Just to let you know, there is no cure. This is explained in Halo: Primordium.

Nothing, really. It's kinda hard to explain. I suggest that you read PRimordium.

They weren't. It is hinted that the Flood can selectively infect, and "chose" to leave the Humans so they could later rise to power and take up the mantle.

I still think the cure exists. The TO may be lying, worried that the humans found a way to stop the Flood, without activating the remaining Halo rings..

Didn't some Humans believe it was, despite archeological evidence suggesting Earth/Erde-Tyrene?

no...

Yprin coxed people into thinking Earth was despite several other planets in other systems being more likely.

Also, another random question. Why aren't there any pre-human artifacts? I know the Forerunners might've done something with them but we haven't found just one?

Because we don't live in the same area in the orion arm, they lived on the outskirts of the orion arm. Ancient Man wasn't allowed 15,000 light years close of the orion complex, though i suspect that this is during the war since earth is only 60 light years from it.

I agree with this, look at Sgt johnson, he had those augmentations done on him for the spartan 1 program, and he had the flood cells in him, but couldn't be changed.

There is a cure it was clearly stated that he it was preforming experiments to find out who was immune.

And johnson was corrected like 7 years ago.
