Subject: Reach was a disaster for the S-II's

Didn't the number of them go from 30 to about 5 in just several days?

After augmentations, there were 37 spartans fit for war. We know it as 33 as Black Team was covered up. That team of Spartans were not on Reach. The other three being Jorge, Kurt, and Naomi. 30 spartans were fit for war on Reach. Although this is not counting red team of Halo wars, if that were the case, it would make it 40 active Spartans. Jorge died prior, so it could be 39.

Fred, Kelly, and 25 others went on Reach to defend it from invading ground forces while, John, Linda, and James went to Gamma Station. Total about 30 for Reach, excluding those others not present.

There were only a few survivors.

John
Fred
Kelly
Linda
(Were there more?)

I am not counting others such as Vinh and and Issac as they soon met their demise on Reach the following days.

Were there other known survivors?

You forgot Grace, Anton and Li.

Grace died in Slipspace anomaly.
Anton and Li were vaporized.

Sure they survived Reach, but soon perished. I'm trying to get the surviving Spartans as of 2553.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

Well yeah, almost all of them died.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Also you forgot about Grey Team

I think I confused black with grey. XD
Turns out there is also a black team.

Black team is still M.I.A?

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Did you just read TFoR?

I think it was stated beyond all common sense that Reach was the Spartan II's most horrendous mission, since almost all of them died, and two we're wounded extensively.

This mission almost ended the Spartan II's entirely. And we have ONI to blame for that.

I think it's safe to say the fall of Reach was humanities worst defeat in all of it's history.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

You could honestly use the search bar or do this yourself, i estimate about 20-40 of this threads have been made.

This is a no -blam!- moment. How hard is it to believe that They failed? You have 30 odd S-II versus...whats the number at now? 500 Covvie ships? What did you think? 1 elite, half a hunter,2 jackals and 5 grunts per ship? Read First Strike (I'm talking about the old version) Three S-II took out a covvie ship with one nuke. You know what lets put it this way. You and 30 friends vs. lets say 10,000+ people at paint ball battle. Who do you think will win?

  • 01.11.2012 5:24 PM PDT

Yeah, we've understood this since we opened the manual of the first game.

  • 01.11.2012 5:35 PM PDT

Your asking for S-II that are still alive by 2553...you really should go reread GoO. Will died...in other words the guy isn't alive.

Also you say Reach was a disaster for the S-II. Then the S-III program was just one large -blam!- up.

Still. 341 with shields, plasma weapons, greater use of slipspace, tens or thousands of Elites, brutes, hunters and so on. I call that a no -blam!- moment that the 30 odd spartans were killed off. I mean really OP? really? stick 30 SEALS against 10,000 marines. who the hell do you think will win?

Moron, I'm not saying the Spartans would have won, I'm just claiming it was a bad idea in general to send them there in the first place.

Waypoint Moderators aren't really Moderators, just power hungry and its goal is defend their beloved Halo at all costs. (Meaning that they wank Halo too much.)

BS Angel is alleged foe so, be wary of Waypoint and its moderators! Do not attempt to move to Waypoint. Enter your own risk.

*WARNING* IT IS MY OPINION.

That number of ships is wrong. Correct number of ships are 314 ships. Just correcting you on this matter.

And even then, Halopedia and Halo Nation both say 314 ships attacked Reach on the 30th.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

Just goes to show how horrendous the ground battles in Reach was meant to be.
