yeah you could sit there for 12 hours watchin them.(12 hours = time for flood to change a body)

ok ok in that case maby u should see diffrent stages of the body turrnig into flood.
I agree with that. maybe during a level you would come across various stages of the infection.

stage 1: chest caved in (from infection form pushing it's way in, skin slightly pale. blood is still red (or purple) maybe also let the host have a little control.
stage 2: mild flesh decomposition, limbs starting to detatch, skin peeling away, head still attatched and facing forward on elite forms.
Stage 3: blood is brown, skin still has a little colour to it, flood mandibles are still small. all original limbs still attatched (but barely).
Stage 4: final form that we see in halo 1 and 2.

I also think that some of the stage 1 forms should be able to comunicate with the chief.

Actually, infection forms take control relatively quick, but the actual appearence takes a long time.

actually, in some parts of Halo 2, if you watch, a flood bubble will run over a corpse and it will shake and then jump us as a flood combat form. But that mioght just be the dead combat forms that arent paste on the floor from the sword.
