I can toss in a few pointers that disagree with your post. It's a good post, but there are some things you should not do with the wraith.

For one, don't treat the wraith like a tank, because it isn't. It's more along the lines of a glass cannon. It's not meant to be played aggressive like the scorpion is. It can take the same punishment from the front, the back is the weakest part, but you forgot to mention the non purple areas. These areas are weaker than the purple, but slightly stronger than the back parts. Don't let people shoot those areas either.

DO NOT attempt to ram other vehicles unless they are for sure close enough that you can hit them, and even then, use it as a last resort. The damage caused from ramming into a warthog and having it explode is enough to make your tank flaming.

And, because so little people seem to know about this, if you have someone coming up to you form the front, and say you don't have enough time to recharge your mortar to fire, DO NOT simply boost to splatter. Most people can't avoid a wraith, but there are some that have brains, and they jump over or around. This can put you in a situation where you have to turn slowly to shoot or splatter the would be highjacker, giving him time to attack your weak spot or have his teammates do so while he's distracting you.

Instead, don't boost full blast, just a little bit, and if you're using recon settings, you can hold A to bring the front end of the tank off the ground making it impossible for someone to avoid or jack you. I don't know what button this is in other settings, so do some experimenting. With this way you have some boost left to aid your escape if you've started taking fire.

And on a side note, the wraith has the unique ability to shoot highjackers off the front of it, without using a wall. I myself don't quite fully know how to use it 100% of the time but I'll do my best to explain how it works. You look down as far as you can go, and move the wraith the the left or right, depending on what side the highjacker is on. If he's on the right, look down and move right, and fire. The blast will hit him, killing him, but also causing some damage to your tank, but at least you got him off. As I said, I don't know how to fully do this, but it does work.

A sound tactic for the wraith is to use it's upward mortars to your advantage. Hide behind small hills and fire over them at enemies. Do your best to stick with teammates near these hill, in case someone does come your way they might help you or even alert you to enemies nearby. These small hills can give you cover from other vehicles, snipers, plasma launchers, rockets, and people. One thing though, you should be rather proficient at hitting targets from far away. Hemmorage is probably the best place to practice this, as there is a hill near red's cave that is the best spot for this, just make sure you watch the teleporters. The hill is also close enough that you can bombard anywhere on the other side of the map.

And last but not least, DO NOT directly attack scorpions. They have a better range than you do, fire faster than you do, and have a completely random chance of one shotting you even if you're in a brand new tank. Use cover, like the large rocks on Paradiso, and do your best to conceal yourself to either ambush the tank when it passes by or comes close enough, or snipe it over the rocks or hill you're hiding behind. Hills are your only advantage over the scorpion, as you can fire over them while it can sit there and do nothing about it. If you can, do your best to either blow the cannon off first or target the back panel on the scorpion. Blowing off the cannon will make it useless, and hitting the back will kill it instantly.

The most important thing to remember is, the wraith is most deadly when it's in cover and the pilot knows how to snipe over their cover with it.

That's all I can give.

I agree with most of your points except the blindly firing over a hill thing, it's just never worked for me.

It's true you are able to kill someone boarding you if he's latched on directly above the hatch and in front of the mortar, just aim straight down. It does, however, do less damage to your Wraith if you use the wall method.

...and I don't know what you mean by the non-purple parts. Isn't the whole thing the same color?

The sides, where it's gray. Only the front and top are purple.

Always up for REACH customs!

I wanted to post these too but I'm past the character limit in the OP!

-If you are an Elite in the beginning of the third phase of Invasion: Boneyard, you can beat the enemy Scorpion easily if you camp the garage thingy that it comes out of. Position your Wraith down the hill and to the left of the garage, next to the staircase leading up to where the outside territory was in phase two, and you can arc your shots at the Scorpion or Hog as it comes out of the garage without it being able to fire back at you.

-Even if you beat the enemy Wraith in the opening push on Hemorrhage, the best move is not to engage it at all because even a glancing blow from a blast will destroy half your armor. Encourage your teammates to attack it quickly, and support them as they rush the Plasma Launcher or blow up other enemy vehicles so your Warthogs can kill the enemy Wraith.

-When fighting an enemy Wraith, you can blow off its mortar gun with a single blast if you aim it right. If you pull this off, you can finish him while he's defenseless.

-If an enemy Wraith blows your Wraith's gun off, all is not lost because you can kill him too. Ram into him at full speed. This will do as much damage as a blast, and then when he blasts you a second time, he'll catch the splash damage and then some more damage from your Wraith exploding, which should be enough to kill his Wraith.

-Your radar radius doesn't increase when you get in the Wraith. Think of the dot representing you on your motion sensor as within a large invisible Wraith outline. Remember that the Wraith is about 20 feet long and your body is positioned near the very front, so a red dot on radar that appears to be a safe distance behind you might actually be within boarding distance because the Wraith is so big. If you see a red dot on radar anywhere behind you, quickly boost forward and turn to face the threat as you boost.
