SINGLEPLAYER
We all know Halo 2 was, how do u put it, UN-Finished. . i mean what kind of ending was tht. . .so one thing i would like for bungie to do is. . .finish everything, dont rush, we can wait as long as the game is 100% completed.
A prime example of how the game wasnt finished: end of outskirts, master chief goes up the ramp to the end of the tunnel, level cuts out, start of next level the tunnel door is closed and no evidence of a vehicle tht u possibly used. I mean in the trailer for halo 2 tht was released, u knw the one, the level tht actually ent in the game, at the end of the tunnel in tht one it showed a cut scene of the door closing and MC bearly making it through. .
One thing i would like to see incorporated into Halo 3 is hoardes and hoardes of flood, i mean halo 2 left them with complete control over High Charity, Truth abandoned it with the fleet and headed for Earth. With complete control over High Charity the flood can navigate the city and head for Earth themselves, i mean theres alot of hotes for them there.
The Sentinels: would it be good to have some sort of ground based sentinel machine, say a walking battle tank or summat with sentinel beams on each arm. Maybe they have some sort of rank structure aswell. The basic ones have normal sentinel beams, next they have blue sentinel beams, next they have there own shields.
A cooperative campaign would be nice aswell, i mean halo is a wicked game when played alone, but to have a seperate story to be completed as a team would be even better. Maybe they could be a type of flash back to when Reach was invaded and Glassed. This campaign mode could be completely seperate and have no effect on any of the single player campaign missions.
A HARDER Difficulty: Lets look at legendary's history. . Halo 1 - At the time it was a nice change from the ability to run round an enemy, slap it in the face and then run away before they even noticed u, legendary in halo 1 brought the idea tht u mite have to think about it abit more. . Halo 2 - I for one enjoyed legendary a hell of alot more on this one, the enemies were in greater numbers and their intelligence i found was substancially greater, i have to admit when i first got the game i underestimated tht difficulty. Now for Halo 3 - lets take it even further, lets make it near to impossible make then smarter , make them work as a team, covering and flanking. Make them use their number advantage, one of us millions of them. I mean master chief mustve got a reputation now with them so why dont they pull out all the stops to ensure their own survival. Less ammunition, conservin ammo would directly effect the completion of the difficulty.
If there is going to be another visited Halo, i would like the ability to navigate around it myself. In between missions, fly a Pelican around Halo lookin for stranded marines or possible Covenant forces. Having to travel to your next missions start point encountering wotever u do along the way, maybe side missions or bad-intel results in an ambush. I find tht the missions of the Halo games so far make me feel as though im in an arena and cant get out, the levels are very linear. Making it so tht u can navigate around Halo would solve tht problem, as you are still in an arena just a much larger one tht doesnt make you feel so claustrophobic.
MULTIPLAYER
We were all in marvel at the multiplayer aspect of Halo 2, i mean who here has stopped entirely playin it. . . nt many if any.
Firstly i'd like to suggest the idea of being able to play as whoever u like within reason. Say a marine or a brute. Giving each individual character its own special ability.
Teamgames see the true settings of one spartan the teamleader and the rest as marines fightin along side him against set teams of another kind, say, the arbiter and elites along side him.
- Maps
The maps in Halo 2 were a improvement from those in the original but why stop there. Lets make the maps larger, an example,
Picture Coagulation but 10 times larger, longer and wider. Small bases in the middle, Huge ones at each end. Red Base - Covenant outpost, Blue Base - Human Garrison. On each base a form of Helipad, for say a a fully flyable Pelican or Phantom. Used for quick insurgents to the enemies base. Warthogs, Ghosts, Scorpions, Wraths, all not in short supply. In between the bases wreckage from what looks to have been a long a gruesome battle for survival..
A survivor mode: a medium sized arena where u and a comrade fight the endless amounts of enemies thrown at u. Startin with the weakest movin throught the ranks to those tht have never known defeat. And at the end of it a scoreboard to see how well u done and wot the best score is from those playin it around the world.
Well these are just some of my views, feel free to pick them apart or comment on them as i like to here what everyone else thinks of my ideas also.
Until i return with more to say. . . Laters
