In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Quality and quantity tend to have an inverse relationship.

I was a finalist :P

Maybe, but it can be useful for determining the posting behaviour of a user. If one's PPD for the week is high, then it's hard to consider that all of their posts are not going to constitute spam (not saying it's impossible; just improbable).

You keep misusing the word "troll". You're not a troll. You're a spammer. A troll posts comical content. A spammer posts garbage. See the difference? If you were a troll I'd raise my glass to you like I do to all good trolls as I look down on my diner through my monocle. But for spammers I quickly lose my appetite and pour my glass on them.

Someone can post 10 times a week and all those posts are spam or someone could post 200x a week and have completely rational posts. You can post a lot in 1 day if you get involved in the thread like this one.

But lets keep this thread NOT about individual users and lets talk about posting in general.

I just don't see how anybody would have enough time to post this much on these forums, with such little new knowledge, or anything of real importance being brought to the community.

This post isn't meant to be critical of any users, as I don't live their lives, or know them, and thus it would be silly of me to judge them. However, I could never see myself, in my current position, able to frequent Bungie.net so much and have such a high and consistent post count.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I love that link. It will be providing some entertainment.

Pity that it doesn't measure quality.

quiet you... >_>

I kept my title for #1, YES.

Too bad it's #1 for a list no one sees.

Actually it means that the poster probably doesn't make very high quality posts. Honestly. Use logic for a moment.

If an average poster makes an excessive quantity of posts, those posts can't possibly be as high a quality as the average user who posts much less and takes more time on their posts.

And bragging about a high post count just looks silly. A low post count does too, but much less so.

Apoc raises a good point. That list could definitely be used to inform moderation practices.
Erm...

I'm on that list for whatever reason, but I don't spam...

I beg to differ. I put thought into all of my post. Your post count can be dependent on how much time you spend on Bungie.net. The last two weeks I spent literally all my free time on here.

Ken has some spammy posts I will admit, but not everyone is him.

I'm just talking about the average user, using basic logic. I didn't say it's every situation. You could, very well, be the exception to the rule.
