Ok. Somewhere, I think it one of the booklets that comes with the games, it says that humans have not yet figured out how to recharge Covenant energy-based weapons. Obviously, the covenant have infinite ammo (unless you're the arbiter) because they know how to recharge them (possibly link them to their armors power source).
This is why I always give my Covenant companions excellent weapons such as the sword and beam rifle when I'm the Arbiter.
My question is this: do you think we'll have figured out how to recharge them in H3, or would that just be too overpowered?
I'd like to have infinite beam rifle ammo, for one.

they will probaly will show you how they recharge them

but you will never be able to do it, it would of balance the game

imagine a fuel rod gun with infinant rods

Um, even if you give a Human soldier a covenant weapon, they still have infinite ammo. All A.I.'s on the game have infinite ammo.

Ah, but that's not a pure recharge based weapon. The Fuel Rod, the Carbine, the Brute Shot, and the Needler all require manual reloading. But the ones that we could recharge are NOT too overpowered, like the plasm pistol/rifle and the beam rifle.
