What will Halo 3 look like on a regular TV?
(Not HDTV)

I don't have $750+ to get an HDTV -cries- and i was wondering if Halo 3 will still look awsome on a regular TV.

If you wish to see what it will look like, take the Xbox 360 and watch the trailer on a non-high def TV. I believe that it should look like that.

I didn't get my HDTV until a week after I got my 360, and I played PDZ and the picture wasn't that great. It felt like I was playing a game on XBOX, not XBOX 360. I'm sure Halo 3 will be miles ahead of PDZ but you won't get the full experience without HD.

WDTSF, did you switch it to High Def mode. I had this problem for a long time. If you look in the back of your 360, right under where you would normally put the wireless attenae, you will see a cord that leads to your TV. On the side of the little grey box where it hooks up to the 360, there is a switch that says TV and on the other end HDTV. Switch that to HDTV and it should look better.

I tried both at the time and it didn't seem to make a difference. Anyway it doesn't matter now because I've got a 46" DLP.

Although it will not look as crisp as on HD TV but it will look good no matter what. I only wish i could get a HD TV for myself for they don't come cheap.

I don't have xbox live so icant watch it on my TV unless I can somehow turn it to a DVD

The reason I ask is because i might get a VGA HDAV Cable for my 360 and play Halo 3 on a 17" monitor and I wanted to know if the downgrade in size would be worth it

believe me, any money you send on an HDTV is worth it! i spent ALL my saved money on a 38' LCD and it not only improved the visual quality hevily it also improved sound quality believe it or not. they are definatle worth it, and i cant wait to play H3 on it!

I'm certifiable.

Of course the high-definition graphics won't look quite as good on a regular TV, but I suspect they'll look fairly nice.

If you don't have the money for a HDTV but you have a nice monitor for your comp and your used to playing games on it. (its not bad when your sitting at your desk real close to it) You can get a VGA adapter from Monster Cable (Around $60) But you would also neet a nice sound system with there right connections. http://www.monstercable.com/monstergame/xbox360/productP age.asp?pin=3563&LastPage=XBOX%20360
