Bip Bap Bam in the brainpan!

The ending to Glasslands was both peaceful, in the sense that the war had ended, but also not so much because of the "Glassing" of Sanghellium. I can't remember if that's the correct name for the Elites' homeworld, but anyways back to the story: At the end, the Field Marshall says, "Oh no, it can't be THEM!"

Indicating that it is either the Arbiters fleet or one of the former species of the Covanant. My basic premises on this post is to speculate who it was. Humans of course do not have this kind of technology, and I don't believe it was the Arbiters fleet, so I'm guessing it may have been the San'Shyum. After all, Sangheili and San'Shyum had fought against eachother before the forming of the Covanant, so it could be speculated that it could be them. I have to say, I am looking forward to the next book if and when it is written and published.

I have a couple of theories on this one.

It could be other prophets taking a row at Elites.

It might be the Brutes acting like they're supposed to and attacking Sangheilios.

And I have a theory that it may be Forerunner tech activating to Phillip's presence.

All we have is an explosion and Telcam shouting about what the hell was going on. I'm curious as to what it might be.

Me too. The Brutes are out of the question since after the conflict, unfortunately, the UNSC has no current or valid information on the whereabouts or happenings of that species. We have no clue as to whether they actually survived or have been ripped apart by the Covanant civil war and The Great Schism.

You mean the Prophets? It sounds like you're describing the Prophets, not the Brutes.

Even though the Brutes continued to fight the Elites until 2558 according to The Return. The Prophets vanished.

Yes, but so did the brutes. It's a mystery, not much is really known what happened to them.

Wht, they are right there in the book.
The engineers and Prophets vanished.
Prophets may have with the suicide bomb tech killed any they could not take that was possible to kill and ran into hiding.
