Frankie mentioned that the entire level you see there is one big level, not part of a level with invisible barriers.

13 miles (I believe that was the number) worth of one level! That's almost Oblivion scale right there.

Could this mean that the Halo campaign style is going more free form (Not totally, but think the Halo level in the original where you chose the order to do stuff)?

That's a very exciting change if it's true from the very linear Halo 2 levels.

If there would be one thing that I wanted to be changed in H3 it would be more freelance campaign levels without those stupid invisible barriers. That would make the game seem much more realistic.

Well... now if they implemented something like skulls in Halo 3, it'd be quite a challenge to find them... :D

If they kept the Campaign levels and made them MP levels, 13 mile wide MP levels with a huge number of people playing?

That'd be some kickass CTF.

I am...whimsical today.

Well there were no invisible barriers in Halo, because they were all visable :P The levels were fairly linear. Halo2 had the advantage of more open plan levels and locations, but was (probably) restricted by the Xbox. Now the open plan locations are mixed with the 360 :D
