"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

I have just spent 2 hours going through old posts in here. Why? No reason really,* I was looking for something and I started clicking on old threads. It's really amazing how much change has happened on here. It's really fun to click a thread and notice that you posted in it, especially when you can remember it. You start looking to see if you conversations with anyone, and you notice how much you've changed. It's really really cool.

What's odd, though, is now that I spent so much time back there, it's hard to adjust to current threads. I wonder if it has something to do with it being 3AM also....eh, maybe.

Seriously though, you guys should take a look back and see the changes and progress the website, Bungie Community, and you have made.

Cheers!

If I am not posting, then I am reading what you might have posted.

Honestly, I was doing the same thing. Weird.

I was reading some of my older posts and laughed at how childish I sounded.

Oh,yeah.

Cheers!!

:D

I do this occasionally. It's weird when I don't recognise a thread, but I posted in it. It is interesting to see what people were discussing though.

I've seen some of my older posts, and I realize just how young, naive and stupid I was (Well, I'm still pretty stupid). But it feels like I had more fun then, than now.
Maybe I lost some of my passion for Bungie?

I love you, Duardo.

I actually went through most of the Webcam Thread late last night to find I had posted on page 36 or so. It is really cool to see how different your post style has changed, even though I still pretty much stick to the straight to the point comments or "funny" one liners.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I just spent a few hours reading through the member titles thread. Wow that was alot of info...

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I blame MTV. It ruined us. We used to stand for something. Now a high post count and sum Deej attention is all these kiddies want.

Been there. Done that. I've done it once in the Community Forum, but just about every other time has been in the Halo 3 forum. I have so much history there that it's really something special to be able to go back and see everything. The community has changed big time since then.

"heh"

I'll just get the whole "wow anonymous user(deleted) was such a good poster huh too bad he doesn't post anymore!!" thing out of the way now.

I am still trying to find a very, very important quote in the Reach forum... but I will never find it.

It is to do with some employee talking about Reach vs 3's population.

Tell us the reason already.

I did once... and then realized I joined in 2008 and didn't care.

When I'm trying to find an old post I just use very exact, site-specific google searches which include the username of someone in the thread and a unique word I distinctly remember being posted or in the title. I hope this helps you find that post about the thing!

I remember Halo 2 as well. I came to Bnet in that era after all! It's just... Halo 3 was when I REALLY got into the forums. 2008 was my year, hahaha.

That said? First graders seem to be getting shorter and shorter each time I look. Freaking midgets...

Stosh was the one arguing with a member and the member was saying that Halo 3's population was more than Halo:Reach's population. Is that the one you were talking about?

I wouldn't exactly describe our current state as "unfriendly" though. Maybe "parched" or "dryish".

We was teenagers back in the day. Now we are in our mid 20s dealing with teenagers. It sucks to get old. But hey at least we can say we played bungies original games and we know what a floppy disk is.

I don't know, seems semi-friendly to me. I can't say I played Bungie's first games, but I can say that I am in my 20's.

Sweet, sweet nostalgia. My old posts [are buried in the archives of the Halo 3 forum and back then I wasn't too bright.

Regardless, maybe one day I'll go soul searching for my old search before the H3 Forum is retired, just maybe.
