I've come to this conclusion having spent the last few weeks playing the anniversary playlists. The games are actually fun despite there not being any ranking of any kind.

Halo does not need a ranked playlist, competitive players seem happy enough to play MLG and the maps and game settings of the anniversary playlists should satisfy casuals.

Halo has been synonymous with balanced, well thought out maps but maps like sword base, countdown etc really ruin the gameplay for me. I simply cannot bring myself to play any other default playlist, I get bored.

fear me, for i am pro sauce

most community maps are good, there are only a few that suck, same with the proper maps (the ones with colour and texture)

reach is a good game, its the community that ruin it

The only reason they are "happy" because it's the only playlist with competition really ever since lolarena got bad (you can say at once it was competitive). People have always wanted ranked playlists and once they finally realized it's not going to happen so they settled with MLG, doesn't mean they're happy with it, it's just the only real competitive playlist out of 25 playlists.

Am I the only one who actually has fun playing 'randoms'? Sometimes the game is balanced, sometimes I get owned and sometimes it's too easy. I'd rather not play with people on my skill level as I'm very good but not the best. I know in a 1-50 playlist I'd get matched against 50s who I could not beat all the time = no fun.
