Reading many arguments regarding reduced bloom/ZB and the TU in general that many players now can and don't have to say why did i just die which was arguable in default Reach more than in the TU.
This is what i sense and that many skilled/steady handed players found flawed in Reach and that is why they wanted change.

Is this Correct?

I'm gonna pass on this one due to my hands being tired from typing. Can I get a fellow tryhards help?

Sure.

This is somewhat correct. Reducing the bloom makes more sense and increases the amount of skill the game takes, but TU doesn't completely do this in general. There are still problems with weapon and melee bleed-through that will have you saying "why did I die?"

Prolonged exposure to this forum is bad for your health.

Bloom is part of the answer.

There are many more "flawed" conceptions in Reach.

ZB elimates all the randomness that comes with bloom. So now instead of some new player being able to spam his shots and kill a skilled player, the skilled player can out play the new guy every time. No randomness involved.

Also the removal of AA's also removes randomness from the game.

It makes you play smarter and have better aim which somehow translates to a bad thing for some players.
Because most players LIKE armor luck, and all the randomness that ruined this for the first year of its release.

Well, some might enjoy that kind of play, but I think most just don't notice the difference.

I remember before I joined the forums, I couldn't use the DMR well at all - I didn't get it. That didn't really bother me though, I just used different, easier to use weapons.

Some people just don't know the difference, and changing something drastically might push people away from the game.

So there is in some aspect a need to have basically 2 playlist that both a skilled and i want to have fun type of player can enjoy.

Its basically a very difficult and gray area to please many different players.

Well they should have just made the game in a way that was more catered to the competitive crowd - which default Reach is not.

If the game caters to competitive players, casuals won't notice. If the game is catered to casuals, the competitive players will notice and you'll get something like Reach.

343 has done damage control, but hopefully will do the right things with Halo 4.

True that many new players won't notice. Reach was my first Halo game and i would not have known what the difference was as you quoted.

Yeah thats basically correct but I'm going to disagree that aa's supposedly still make whether you died or not random.... they're just like whatever off weapon you had w/ you in h2. It would really suck to run up on a guy that had one of the power weapons hidden... If they made it so it showed you what aa they had when you held the cursor on them for a couple seconds then it'd take out any "randomness" because then its your fault if you rush the AL guy before he uses it.

Also notice that H2 basically had the "2 playelists" solved with ranked and training playlists, but they definitely catered to the less skilled/(8-12yr old?)/casual audience by combining them all and allowing you to "rank/level" up regardless of your skill. I dont foresee 343 fixing this any time soon as you'd quickly lose a large chunk of that audience if they couldnt "prestige" 12 times by just playing enough matches win or lose. much of the new fanbase (both halo and fps in general) would have a hard time accepting that they cant get the epic ranks or gear w/o actually being at an epic skill level.
