I <3 you too Bungie

As a long time member I request that we go dark(er?) on January 18. I'm really tempted to make a thread asking for this, but I'm afraid it might get locked.

Yeah, it's called a second account. I know 8 years isn't even long considering some. Don't want to get into a dick measuring contest, so...

Yeah, it's called a second account. Oh this old chestnut again. Yawn.

  • 01.16.2012 12:13 AM PDT

LOLRLY, an age debate in a SOPA thread? Why is there a pissing contest going on here?

Glory and fame, blood is our name!
Souls full of thunder, hearts of steel!
Killers of men, a warrior's friend!
Sworn to avenge our fallen brothers!
Sons of the gods, today we shall die.
Open Valhalla's door!
Let the battle begin, with swords in the wind! Hail Gods of War!

The bill in its current form has reportedly been shelved indefinitely by Congress.
I'll take it over nothing.

"Consensus" eh? Well, unless the Geth run Capital Hill, I think we're good for... ever.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

Heavy weighs the crown, low hangs the head who wears it.

Some more about why these bills suck.

Does anyone even read these?

Political and piracy discussion in the same thread? Foman must love this.

Oh yeah and SOPA sucks.

SOPA WILL NOT prevent you from doing anything that you are doing now. SOPA WILL NOT stifle innovation, or kill the gaming industry.

It will stifle innovations in anti-censorship programs.

  • 01.16.2012 6:32 AM PDT

It will let innovation pass through illegal censorship programs.

If Bungie isn't doing anything wrong, they have nothing to fear. So lets ask, is Bungie doing anything wrong? No? Then why protest a bill that wont hurt them?

Because it will cause the shutdown of sites like facebook, youtube, google... While the bill has good interest at heart people will take advantage of it.

Heck even the whitehouse is against the bill...

This bill will make any type of anti-censorship program illegal.

"The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit,
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it."
-Omar Khayyám-

There comes a time in every man or woman's life when things change...for the better or for worse is left undecided unto the leaders. SOPA inacts a change for the worse, to have such a law be though of is ludicrous, but for the political powers that be to attempt to pass such a law, knowing full well of such consequences as mass rioting, is downright, for lack of a better term, insane and asanine.

People of the Septagon community, join Bungie and I on a glorious quest of ridding USA of this morbid, delapidated, poorly constructed excuse of a law. You can help, as Bungie released in their official statment, by writing to your governor, state representative, or state offical your own views in an educated letter, stating your displeasure. If enough do this, then hopefully such a bill will be terminated and we won't have to suffer it no more.

Five years older and wiser
The fires are burning, I'm fire, never tire
Slay warriors in the forests, and on hire

Now to go for PIPA.

And oh, I still think Bungie should move their registrar from GoDaddy.

I was getting worried and seriously considered ending my business with Bungie LLC. Being here forever however, it would have torn my heart apart.

The anxiety is lifted now.

SOPA's alleged intentions are pure, yes, however there are too many variables that would ultimately justify further corruption.

"Bungie is the law!"

Laughable aphorisms aside, amen to Bungie's choice.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Good to hear! Glad to see Bungie on board!

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

It's great that Bungie took this approach to SOPA. I'm quite happy to see this.
