If this passes, I am moving to the UK.

It will effect the whole world.
Hardly.

Exponentially less than those in the US. Hardly comparable. That's why I said Hardly. Not "no it won't."

So, yeah. That happened.

If you want to know how Bungie feels about SOPA, check out our official statement, delivered bravely by my fearless leader.

Feel free to discuss this issue. Let the debate rage in this thread, and ONLY in this thread. Be excellent to each other. The rules still apply. SOPA is more than a political issue. It's a phenomenon that would impact the industry in which we play, as well as the mediums we use to interact with you fine people.

Beyond this conversation, the laws that govern Bungie.net do not change. Political debate is not something that we want to see here. On this rarest of occasions, we are breaking our own rules. Such is the privilege of ruling the domain that you host.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Oh I'm sure one will.

Has anyone heard that Activision is with SOPA/PIPA. Those -blam!- suckers want it to pass >:(

(I hated them anyway)

This is the American public blowing things out of proportion again. 9/10 of these people have not read the bill, and about half of them haven't even researched anything.

C'mon guys.

They call me The Raptor due to my extreme interest in dinosaurs specifically velociraptor.

Lets show our opinins to the supreme court (for those who live in the U.S)

I wonder if 343i opposes SOPA due to their massive community creations thing and the fact that they occasionally air machinima on their website, machinima such as rvb.

Good to know that you think banning sites from DNS servers is not something you are worried about. Good luck with your broken internet. Or, you could look at the only Wikipedia page that isn't part of the blackout: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stop_Online_Piracy_Act

In the words of a Harvard constitutional law professor, this will "undermine the openness and free exchange of information at the heart of the Internet. And it would violate the First Amendment."

It will most likely pass. The Internet will still function fine, and I doubt you'll notice any changes.

NOT INTO THE LONG GRASS!

If SOPA does pass, the best way to get them to remove it is to have every single major internet site refuse to operate until they remove SOPA. It'll show them they've -blam!-ed with the wrong people.
