While Earth being destroyed is possible I beleive that the Cheif and Arbiter will find a way to make the Ark destroy all the Halo's left in the galaxy. Think about it: If the Ark can remote activate all the Halo's in the galaxy then it can probably blow all of them to hell via a self destruct sequence.

If this happen's I believe that the Arbiter will die when The Ark blows to hell (It would if the chain reaction of halo self destruction happens) and the Chief will high tail it to the surface after debating over who should stay behind of the two.

The Arbiter will say something about his destiny and then the Cheif will give in.

Oh and it would be kinda retarted if we played three games to save something and it got blown to hell anyways. Unless of course the flood overrun earth then it would be necessary.

I think that humanity will find someway to survive though.

I wouldn't like that very much. Maybe it ending with Earth messed up and the human population being very low. But not complete destruction.

I'd make sure I saved all the really hot chicks.

Shuttle them off to some far-away moon out of harms way... after that it's allllll gud! ;)

Your name should be Duke Nukem instead of pmaster.

What about if the alled coverent(elites, grunts and hunters) and humans beat the bad coverent and then they go live happly on mars and have cup cakes and cups of tea.

What a good ending that would be.

I can just see it...

you see a little flower, and then a grunt wearing a little aprin with a watering can lol.
Then, a little girl comes up to the grunt, and they start hugging lol.

It would be SWEET! hahaha

Strike with great vengeance

You mean if the MC failed. He can't fail, what kind of message does that send our youth. You...you... pedaphile!!!

It would be interesting, like to stop the Covenant and the Flood, Master Chief activates all the rings and destroys all life, so both the humans and the Covenant lose. I think that would be much more interesting than the normal 'good guys win' kind of thing.

Just my two cents.

I can barely make sense of their incessant rhetoric, except to know that you seem to be their Devil.

I would love it, it wouldnt be the ending we are all expecting and we already know that the MC is fighting for a lost cause in Halo3....the earth is already defeated. "this is the way the world ends".....well the time has come

They said "this is how the world ends."?!

  • 05.14.2006 8:12 AM PDT

it wont if you read between the lines in the Q&As about H3, they never say that it is the end of halo, just "the end of THIS trilogy"

  • 05.14.2006 8:18 AM PDT

"Not really. They eat their wounded."
"Just like chiropractors!" Caboose - funny -blam!-

"If god is love, then you can call me cupid" Sarge.

Whispering marine - "you'll give away our position!"
sarge - "I'll do as i damn well please!" (kills grunt with sniper rifle)
elites rule, MCs r cool

I'd revert to the last checkpoint, so MC doesn't die, but continues kicking ass until earth is saved and the covenant are defeated.

Hmmm... If the humans lost... I actually might like that campaign the best. I really think that the no-hope feeling is something that applys to Halo. I really would like to see the humans lose, it would be a good plot twist and not too many games end with an overall loss for humanity.

I would actually be glad. In order for the Halo trilogy to go down as one of the greatest game series' of all time Halo 3 must have an epic ending, which I believe will be something like... The Master Chief sets off the Ark and eleminates all sentinent life and contains the Flood back into the Halo's.. and then there will be some clever dialouge from Cortana about how that's the circle of life... (Get it.. Halo.. the circle of Life) and then the last image we will see will be a small organism growing on Earth indicating that the cycle has started once again.

Wow... thats an awesome idea! Yeah, that kind of ending would be good. The Flood are gone, and life has been preserved. After all, live to fight another day.

Id be happy actualy im sick of action heros always saving the day. As good as the cheif is i cant see him beating a entire fleet of covenant. I think that everything is going to be wiped out, humans and convenant.

Great point Spart3n- the chief is good, but does he have what it takes to be a one man army, who knows? I think the chief dying would be a somewhat sorrowful but good ending, but it would upset many fans

<PS ... Sarge rocks!>
