We are all going to get banned aren't we?

It was just a gravemind created from the bodies of a Precursor race. There could be several of them.

Oh ok, so what could the thing in halo 4 be? the pics sure didnt look like anything flood related

Could be. That is a problem on your part since it is clear now that the flood have more advanced stages that aren't gruesome and bone chilling. when the ancient humans fought the flood they look exactly like normal people until they needed to attack you.

The flood can change and adapt when needed. The reason that Gravemind was different was due to it being created willingly and having eons to evolve.

And Flood infected forerunner ships were at the end of the concept video.

Did Cryptum say that? If so then that's really interesting. Reminds me of the thing.

Ok, they didn't look EXACTLY normal. but they could pass off as normal, yes it was in cryptum. It was further talked about during the battle for the capital.

The Timeless One was killed or died after the Didact destroyed something which allowed his life span to disappear in a blink of an eye.

He accelerated the timelock by billions of years causing the Primordial to age and die.

what the hell did that thing mean by " It is your job to kill this servant. That another may be freed".

The hell does that mean?

"We are the Flood. There is no difference. Until all space and time are rolled up and life is crushed in the folds . . . no end to war, grief, or pain. In a hundred and one thousand centuries . . . unity again, and wisdom. Until thensweetness."

The Didact stepped forward with a sharp grunt. He lifted his hand and a panel appeared in the air, shaping controls. The Captive's head squared on its torso, as if bracing for what it knew was about to come.

"It is your task to kill this servant," it said, "that another may be freed."

The Didact hesitated for just an instant, as if trying to understand, but anger overcame him. He made a swift gesture like swinging a sword. The controls flared, then vanished, and the mesh around the Captive's platform spread between them a far more intense, blue-green glow."

It looks like it called itself the servant.

And the one that was freed could be the child that was talked about unless that child is also the primodrium.

Indeed. What the hell was the child subplot anyway? I have yet to understand that.

There is enough, we just haven't decoded it yet.

There is something between the child and the Composer that have some significance, of greater importance. They seem interconnected.

The composer as we know was built to prevent something from starting over i think, as it was said. Maybe the child from coming into existence or something.

I could have helped but my 13 year old brother left it in his locker in school and is also busy reading it.

Unity again notice that it looks like this happened more than once.

We have discussed this before

I think the "child" reference could be to Mendicant Bias. When Vinnevra is speaking to both Chakas and Riser, she mentions a child that is neither the Librarian or Forerunner. Without a geas to fill in her lack of information, maybe she simply "sensed" Mendicant as a child.

We don't know Mendicant's exact construction date, but it's most likely some time after the Human-Forerunner War. With the Composer being able to create monitors from a person's mind and soul, and the "child" being mentioned before the human's meeting with Mendicant, it seems the most logical choice.

Why are you here?

What I want to know is, will we be fighting Prometheans or not.

If we are then we'll probably get destroyed, but it would be awesome.

I don't see WHY we would fight Prometheans. The Didact can be pissed off all he wants, killing humans isn't going to stop the "True" Flood from coming back.

I think the death of the TO resulted in the creation of a new Gravemind.

Or, it has far deeper meaning, going to the fact that ever 100,000 years the Flood must be defeated, so that the galaxy may repopulate, and the Flood to have a sustainable food supply.

I know like I sound like a retard conservationist, but what good with it do to the Flood if they consume everything, and starve afterwards?
