So I was playing Anniversary Halo Campaign, Legendary, and alone.

Me in the tank and my good ole' friend Sgt. Johnson are having some good ole times blowing up wraiths with the scorpion, as well as turrets, ghosts, hunters, and cannon fodder.

When it gets to the point that you have to hop out of your wonderfully powerful but clumsy and inaccurate tank to punch the door open by hitting X, you open into that cavernous, massive area with the bridge and 4 corner turrets, hunters on the opposing side etc.

What's bugging me is, I thought I saw a "ghosting" ally on my radar, with no foreseeable ally there. At first I thought to myself, thinking I'd never seen it before, so maybe it's a new Easter Egg of some sort.

Then however, I think I recalled seeing this on the normal Halo CE also.

This mystery has been haunting me every time I play this level. When you travel to the opposing side of the bridge, where there are "tubes" on the LEFT of the bridge, traveling to the other side, is where approximately I keep seeing a temporary ally blip. The blip if I recall correctly, only appears once you start moving past the end and onto the other side, usually when your assaulting that turret if you haven't destroyed it yet, which is also on the left.

Does anyone know anything about this? I suspect I may never learn unless a Bungie employee tells me. I mean sure it could be a bug, but I doubt it. A radar bug in the exact same place and time?

If you still don't understand I can attempt to further elaborate.

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

May I ask what this has to do with Halo canon?

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

Unfourtunately, I've never experienced this strange occurrence firsthand. I do however propose a simple explanation.

Perhaps this area is a secluded easter egg area, where an ally resides. Again, I've never heard of this supposed secret ally, so I can't conclude this to be the absolute truth.

I wish you luck on your quest to discover what the hell that thing is on your radar.

I don't know of a Halo Anniversary Forum.

Anyway, the problem is this easter egg is a short burst. I don't believe you'd be able to get to it in time, I may be wrong.

Additionally, whatever it is, if it is an egg, it is extraordinarily hard to find I would imagine, as if you miss-step in that area you'd fall to your death.

Some time I will have to inspect it closely.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Does this "ally" appear when you hop out of the tank to open the door?
