Subject: Confused about 343 Guilty Spark (Regarding to Halo: Primordium)

From what I have seen on the forums, I noticed people speculating 343 Guilty Spark returning in Halo 4. This didn't really make much sense to me until I read that there is a Guilty Spark 'Duplicate' in Halo: Primordium.

Does anyone know or can speculate to of what purpose the 'duplicate' has? (As mentioned in the title, I have not read Halo: Primordium which explains my lack of knowledge on this).

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

There is more than 1 monitor. I wouldn't be surprised if there were hundreds, maybe thousands to monitor all the installations.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

The 'duplicate' is what we see in the Trilogy, 343 GS is a fragment of Chakas, who was put into an Ancilla by the Didact because he was dying.

Use Mendicant Bias as an example.

You thought he was destroyed, but he came back during the events on the Ark.

This is accurate, or it at least matches my understanding of the book.

Also please change the title of this thread as I'm sure lots of people haven't got to the end of the book yet and you're ruining the big reveal.

I don't think that is true. In Halo: CEA Terminals guilty spark complained about how alone he was on the installation, even imagining a clone of itself.

I'm still kinda iffy on whether or not it's actually Spark, or they just called it that for convenience. I've only read Contact: Harvest and the Forerunner novels, but in what I've read, the only monitor that the UNSC runs across is 343 Guilty Spark(2401 Penitent Tangent was only met by Master Chief and only briefly). It could be possible that they didn't know other monitors existed at all.
