This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Whenever I get banned.

I used to have the Halo 2 ODST avatar before this one.

I very rarely change my avatar. If I were to change it again, it would be after significant consideration, not only because I like my current one, but also because this account is no longer linked to my Gamertag, so it would require a fair amount of effort to change it back.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

When ever I see someone with the same picture as mine.

  • 01.15.2012 8:10 AM PDT

Never.

  • 01.15.2012 8:12 AM PDT

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I've changed it three times. First to mock burritosenior, then to change it back, then to my current one.

I hate you unless I'm drunk.

Every new game release.
Same avatar, just update with each game's version.

I haven't changed my picture since I started here over 2 and a half years ago.

I change it once in a while, mostly when a new set of avatars come out.

For the one I'm currently using it's probably been my avatar for a little over a month.

Theme Builder 4.1 is out for Bungie.net!

Theme Builders

I don't ever change mine. Well, unless you count when I switched from the Halo 3 emblem to the ODST emblem, and then to the Reach.

Bye.

I used to change it every couple of months as you can easily grow tired of seeing the same 90x90 image on an almost daily basis. That was until I found my current avatar.
There's something magical about, something that never bores me and i've had it that long now that I feel it's almost become a digital signature.

Someday, people will see that avatar and think.......defnop!!!

There's a word for what I am, but I can't pronounce it.

BFA, CCS - olde and bony & one minute musings.

Converted to internet time, decades have gone by. Have you ever tried getting rid of a creepy shrunken head that multiplies with every forum post?

I believe that the avatar that I am using now is the third one I have used since joining. I don't plan on changing it ever again. So I guess to answer your question, I rarely changed it when I was willing, and now I don't change it at all.

I never change mine, it's my H2 emblem.

I also like your new choice.

  • 01.15.2012 11:44 AM PDT

Before ODST I changed it often, since ODST I have changed it once, to this. I love my avatar.

Reasoning? The SI captivated and encompassed my heart and I do believe keeping an avatar becomes a signifier. A signifier in the sense that I can look at someone's avatar and say "oh so-and-so posted this" without looking at their username; just a small tidbit.

  • 01.15.2012 11:47 AM PDT

Probably about 2 years ago. But I have only changed it once I got active in the community.

  • 01.15.2012 11:49 AM PDT

I changed it just now for the first time in years. (Maybe 2?)

I forgot about my Bungie account, and got bored on machinima, and ran into some RvB friends. Decided I might try Reach out again. :) 2 Year Hiatus FTW.
