I <3 Halo:Reach - amazingly fun and best campaign + amazing Soundtrack
I <3 Halo 3:ODST - best soundtrack + Firefight + Coastal Highway and Mombassa Streets, amazingly unique campaign.
I <3 Halo 3 - best multiplayer levels + Forge + best Custom Games + soundtrack
I <3 Halo 2 - amazing huge fun campaign + soundtrack + Fun multiplayer
I <3 Halo: CE - started it all

That people only use Custom Challenges to boost? Like seriously, Custom challenges I feel were only made to be exploited. Who is going to spend 3 minutes creating a challenge to kill 70 people in Matchmaking, to only get paid 52 cR.

Why don't they just shut down the whole thing. It clearly was a failed idea, and now its only used to get 200,000 cR every hour now for boosters.

AND YES, I will admit right here, I boosted like 200,000 cR with it to see how much you really could make.

Hi.

Credits mean nothing except how much you want credits and/or how much you play.

If you desire credits enough to boost them, you're earning them legitimately.

Inheritor #156 :p

Because it gets people to play the game and that's what they need. They really don't care if people boost them or exploit them.

It was a good idea just implemented wrong, they should have done it so you can only do a certain amount of custom challenges a day or cap the amount of cR you can get from them.

Has 343 done anything right?

  • 01.14.2012 11:32 AM PDT

They don't care obviously.

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

Credits don't matter.

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

Today is a good day to be a Spartan

You keep posting almost the same thing over and over here and on Waypoint, and you will still never get it.

Stop crying about it, just play the game the way you see fit, and stop worrying about how many people are going to rank up faster and before you.

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

343i has the right idea. If boosting a meaningless rank will get more people to play then it's fine with me. As long as boosting doesn't hurt anyone else WHO CARES.

It was like when Bungie removed social doubles in Halo 3. That pissed me off more than people boosting for EXP in the playlist.

200,000 cR an hour in customs with custom challenges? I find that very hard to believe...

25,000 cR every 6 min....do the math....time to set them up, do the, then turn them in, repeat, and it can easily be achieved.

Well, they decided to finally make a real Halo game and cease the trend of spin-offs (Halo 4). They also have gathered extremely talented people from all over the gaming industry. Implemented a title update that made MLG almost an entirely different game than Reach, patched the horrible gaps Reach's story created, housed amazing fictional additions to the Universe, remade a fan-favorite for those who weren't fortunate enough to play it (which is actually the majority of Halo players), etc etc etc.

I miss Bungie already. Halo was more fun when they were in control. I do like 343 adding some more forge tools but I'm not fan of any of their game play changes. I saw "custom maps" on infection and thought, sure, I'll try it. All I saw was a bunch of new random crates, blocked off map areas and more kill boundaries. Did 343 actually listen to the fans?

Planking : Parkour for people who don't move very fast.

Even then, that's the low end. Get a good enough check point, and you can make 500K in a day. I was a Legend for all of 2 days, maybe.

This could be said about a lot of things in reach...

The Song Of Nephilim

Xenoblade <3

Yeah well, imo those who got to inheritor legit are still more valuable than custom boosters. Either way, I do not play reach much anymore.

Yes they knew exactly what they were doing.

  • 01.14.2012 1:40 PM PDT

They pretty much made the system to cater only to boosters.

I'm JP, and I am a nine month veteran of the Dropshock Brigade. My interests are not only in gaming but sports and hobbies such as football, hockey, airsoft, and baseball. I started playing Halo when I was four years old, and I hoping that Halo 4 will become a great game and successor to the previous halos.

Where can you set up these custom challenges? I've never found it yet.
