I think that the ending will have a self sacrifice. Most importantly, I think it might be from Master Chief. That's a real hero.

Um...I'm not worried about the ending. And of course the humans have to win. But in the end Master Chief might sacrifice himself for humans to win.

I think that their will be a sacrifice as well, but not the mc. I think that the arbiter will die. Arbiter is supposed mean so sort of religious thing. So I think he should die at the end of the game.

I think i will shot mc myself

][=][Imperial Center][=][

i think that MC, the Arbiter, and Sergeant Johnson will be left to destroy a flood onslaught they are all surrounded and they hardly have any ammunition left so they think of some cunning strategy destroy all of them. Then that cutscene ends and it goes to another in which it reveals that other spartans are out there fighting covanent and flood forces.

also, it might end with a truce. but only between the elite side and the human side. here's my reason:

This is a fact: Elites and Prophets once were enemies and they had wars between themelves.

-I believe that the Prophets know what the Halos are actually capable of doing. I believe that they and the Brutes know what they're capable of doing.
-Prophets used the arbiter's mistake in Halo 1 as a way to justify the change of the trust of Elites going to the Brutes. The Arbiter has no trust in the prophets and his goal in Halo 3 will be to show every other elite that the prophets have betrayed them and stop the Prophets.
-The Prophets will use the rings to destroy everything (even the elites) so it will only be them and their allies that will survive. But the Prophets will probably need the Ark in order to survive and thats what they need to find before the rings are activated.
-This links to the fact that The Forerunners who activated the rings before travleled in the same Ark and landed on Earth where all human life began (mesopatamia[rise of humans] which is located around africa and middle east). Since then the same Ark has been buried for all this time, until now.
-Once the Prohpets find the Ark, they will bring their allies on board and try to activate the rings. It'll be up to the Cheif and the Arbiter to stop them and that's where the truce occurs.
-One thing that is almost for sure is that there are no flood inside of earth. Earth isn't even a Halo. It was created during the big bang as we all should've learned in school.
-The only way for the flood to arrive on Earth is if Gravemind and High Charity arrive there. Don't forget that Cortana will also be there.

I realize that this has nothing to do with the ending but more about the story but it's something I was thinking about for some time now.

It makes sense since the "Ark" is used to save a species from an oncoming disaster like "The Flood"

Navy Football #45

I think the Master Chief, Arbiter, Sgt. Johnson, Cortana (after escaping from Gravemind's clutches and on the brink of rupturing, but still has some sense), and 4 other Spartans (Linda, Fred, Kelly, and Will {while the other three that weren't on Reach when attacked are KIA}) will be holding a fixed position in the Arc's control room, while holding back hordes of brutes, the Phrophet of Truth, and occasional flood specimens that arrived from High Charity, due to the control of Gravemind. They will lock themselves in the control room, say their last goodbyes to eachother, and activate a self-destruct sequence that will consume everyone and everyship close to the Arc, hence destroying the New Covenant Armada and flood specimens on Earth. Humanity is saved.

This is deep, I know, I got carried away. (My opinion may change)

pillage is bad, his drama is sad. Who would be a drama queen, really get a life... Your wrists are all red, put down that knife. Now you are leaving... Good job BK, i see you can take a hint. hopefully you make this absence a permanent stint. I was just having fun, and you took it the wrong way... but god damm boy, you really did act g@y.

i think it'll end with ENDING credits...

Go to your room!

...Well I'm glad that worked, because those would have been terrible last words.

Johnson - Good golly gosh Chief, that was a sticky wicket now wasn't it?

MC - I'd say! Those Covie blighters wouldn't take a good old fashioned Yah Boo beating like Fritz!

Johnson - I'd go so far as to say it was the greatest victory since the Harrow flower arranging team beat Wigan by 14 smacked bottoms to 3!

*polite laughter*

I think it will end with the master chief betten the s**t out of the head covent guys. Now that would be the best ending ever! Or the master chief turns into the flood and they take over the world.

Definitely sacrifice, the Covenant will be repelled from Earth but at a price. There will be centuries worth of rebuilding to go through and human kind will never be the same. I think that seems about right, but you never know.

that's really UNoriginal dude. not cool. The Chief NEVER falls in love. Uck, nasty girls. Are you a girl?

  • 05.13.2006 6:04 PM PDT

We see a deserted area in the city with many -blam!- up stuff. There are cars destroyed and left overs of buildings all over the city. Some soldiers are walking, SGT. Johnson is among them. They see an arm under one of the blown up cars, it seems robotic. They move everything and they see MC. He is lying down there, he wont wake up. One of them asks: "Who is he?" and SGT. Johnson stares at MC and answers "Our hero."

THE END.

if bungie said that halo 2 had no relation to the halo novels, then what would make you think that fred and will and everyone else is in Halo3?
