Superdude369, I definitely agree with you, man it seems like you are the only one that knows what they are talking about. I have all of the same theories as you and have had them since I finished Halo 2 and First Strike lol, but I do want to add a little bit to it and clarify some stuff that I find confusing. The structure in Africa is obviously the "Ark" but I think that the Forerunner ship that powers High Charity and has now left the station is needed to activate it, and then the ship can make a slipspace jump out of the GALAXY before the rings activate thus letting the Forerunners escape... Remember that Halo can destroy all sentient life in the galaxy, not in the universe (..."leaving this galaxy quite devoid of life."[343 GS]).... So that is what the prophets plan to do with it, and how Master Chief gets to earth, duh. If you look at the preview it looks like when the Ark is activated there are 3 trails of light where the ship could dock.
And another thing I remember a Bungie employee talking about a dilemma that one of the Halo series could prove or disprove the existence of god (I don't remember the specifics but w/e).. Hmm.. I'm thinkin that the Forerunners created us??.. Kind of symbolic that we were created on the "Master Key" to the Galaxy.
I do have one question though... How did the covies manage to get thier hands on the FR ship? It obviously left Earth if the Forerunners used it to Jump into slipspace.. But then what... There are two possibilities that I thought of (given that my therory about the ship being the "Key" to the "Lock" and jumping out of the Galaxy is correct)... The first theory is that the Forerunners used the ship to activate the Ark, jumped out of the galaxy and then somehow abandoned it or something... The second being that they never used it, but did activate one of the other Halo's, died, and kept the ship seperate from the Earth.. Makes sense, you don't want to leave the key in your front door... This would also explain why the Covanant didn't know where Earth was, obviously if the ship didn't jump and stayed on Earth than they would have had to retrieve it and would have known where Earth was in the first place.
Also if the Forerunners did escape than where are they? Are they watching this apocalyptic battle unfold somewhere? Are they dead like 343 GS would have us believe? Or is this just all a big sham?
Lol I have too much time on my hands lately.. Tell me what u think..
