I'm one of those storm chasers that will never have a TV show because I don't scream at clouds.
Well, I'm not here to convince anyone, but it is perfectly concieveable that anyone can save enough to get a 360 by the time Halo 3 comes out. Think about it. Even a kid, with the right manipulation of parents, can manage to save $10 per week, and it will (probably) be at least 30 weeks before Halo 3 comes out (That's looking at February as a soonest-possible-release). With $300, you have enough to get the 360 core system, which, though not as good as the premium, is all you need to play the game. With at least one major holiday, and possibly a birthday, between then and now, it would be simple enough to save up that extra $100 for the game itself and a memory card to allow Xbox Live play. Other than those, you already should have the Xbox's cables to use to hook up to the Live service itself.
