Always up for REACH customs!

How good of a driver are you? Here's a way to tell. Look at your medals, and see how many Wheelman medals you have, W, and how many Wheelman Spree medals you have, S.

Multiply S times 5, divide that number by W.

The resulting number is the proportion of how often your gunner goes on to achieve a Killing Spree, assuming he gets at least one kill.

For me, I have 728 Wheelmans and 45 Wheelman Sprees, so when I'm driving, my gunners get Killing Sprees 31% of the time. 45 * 5 / 728 = 0.31.

What's your result?

*This isn't super accurate because sometimes your gunner is just a Wraith gunner that doesn't do much or you're focusing on capturing a flag and not kills*

Over time, it should average out, assuming you don't play with a full party all the time.

Yep, but his proportion is only 34%, only a bit better than mine, although he has a thousand times more medals.

You really should take Road Rages into account. With this system the numbers only go up if you keep getting a wheelman spree then dying right after. Those who get really high wheelmen sprees will have a lower number than everyone else. Try this method instead:

[(wheelman sprees x 5) + (road hogs x 10) + (road rages x 15)] / (wheelmen)

I don't like being in vehicles. However, I guess I prefer to drive than to shoot.

Edit: Also, most of mine are from RHR. lol

I have 68 Wheelman Sprees, 14 R.Hogs, and 2 R.Rages. And 986 Wheelman Medals.

Would you not just put
[5(68+14+2)]/986

Since getting a Road Hog would be like getting +1 more W.Spree?

You're right, P3P51's method would double count kills from lesser sprees.

The proper formula is actually: 5 * (Wheelman Sprees + Road Hogs + Road Rages) / Wheelmans

which brings me to 41%.

You are right, but I wanted to make sure a road rage is not equal to 3 consecutive wheelman sprees (i.e. 15 wheelmans and 3 deaths). Road Rages are after all incredibly hard to get and should be valued above wheelman sprees and road hogs.

True but that would be subjective. The formula as posted above has an objective meaning.

Forget it man, and get with the countdown. Shake this square world and blast off for Kicksville.

Reach host ranking algorithm: (a*quit_percentage + b*isMexican + c*(1/KDR) + d*hasGuest) * 100
where a > b = d > c

This guy has got it going on. 0.55 if all sprees are valued equally.

I don't think I understand. Those who can get 15 wheelmen and 0 deaths are virtually always considered better drivers than those who get that same 15 wheelmen but with 3 deaths (ceteris paribus, of course). Don't you agree?

Except it looks like he usually searches with a full party. He might still be a great driver but the guaranteed teamwork when you play with friends makes sprees much easier.

Right, but how much better? It really can't be quantified, and as soon as you stick an extra multiplier on bigger sprees, you're saying how much more you value those sprees.

You can still have a separate formula, like the ratio of Road Hogs to Wheelman Sprees.

But, as you yourself have pointed out, just as you can't really quantify how much better a 15 spree is versus three 5's, you can't really quantify how much someone is benefiting from searching in a full party.

So you'll have to take the number at face value ;)

No, you can't quantify how much better someone is when they search with a full party, I was just pointing out what could have influenced that guy's really high score.

Good point. Though the only difference between our systems is the multiplier involved, and one could say your equation introduces subjectivity when your system's multiplier is 1. But this is starting to turn into semantics, and this is supposed to be a fun, simple system so I'll leave it at that. :)

.53, btw.

Is it being subjective to value achievements differing in value by an unknown amount equally to avoid being subjective?

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

About 29-30% of the time for me :3
