Is it being subjective to value achievements differing in value by an unknown amount equally to avoid being subjective? In trying to be completely unbiased and not put subjective amounts on these sprees you have to put subjective amounts on sprees (in your case, 1), which whether you wanted it or not values someone getting 15 wheelmen and 3 deaths as an equal to someone who gets 15 wheelmen and 0 deaths. In other words valuing everything equally is just as subjective as trying to to value one more than the other (by a specific amount).
It's quite the catch 22.
I said my previous post would be my last on this subject but you've appealed to my interest in mathematics. Damn you. ;p
It's true that the formula undervalues the higher sprees by an unknown amount in order to not assign them any additional value because that would be arbitrary, that's a bit of a catch-22, but it doesn't make it subjective.
The problem with this formula is that it can't differentiate between these two hypothetical players with the same number of Wheelman medals.
Player 1: 30 Wheelman Sprees, 0 Road Hogs, 0 Road Rages
Player 2: 15 Wheelman Sprees, 10 Road Hogs, 5 Road Rages
Is Player 2 empirically better? At face value it seems so, but maybe he has fewer streaks of any length because half the time he drives off the edge or gets blown up after 1 kill, mistakes that Player 1, who appears more consistent but less deadly, wouldn't make. Maybe Player 1 is an even better driver but he always plays 1-Flag and the rounds are so fast that he doesn't have time to earn a higher spree. It's impossible to tell.
If the question the formula is designed to answer is "How often do the other occupants of a vehicle you are operating, provided at least one of them gets at least one kill, go on to earn five kills cumulatively", which is the most inclusive way to frame it, then no, a multiplier of 1 is not subjective.
This is no longer fun but now it appeals to me as a law student.
