Yeah the whole Bible thing is just too much. They crossed the line there.
Sorry, but when the key parts of the story revolve around a Covenant, a Flood and an Ark, I don't see how they could not be allegories of a Bible story. Tons of modern fiction has drawn from myth, and the biblical myths are no exception. Now, them crossreferencing numbers and lookung up verses is a tad extreme, and generaly useless, but I can't fault them for noting the obvious similarities. Surely you see them there to, if you've read the Bible or know anything about it's myths.
