I feel that Halo 3 will represent what happens in the Book of Revelation.

Think about it. In Revelation, Jesus is said to come down from Heaven in the exact place where he left. The Master Chief is landing in New Mombasa once more, where he also left Earth from.

The end of the world involves the appearance of the devil and the anti-Christ to enslave the world. A highly probable link would be to The Prophet of Truth and Gravemind.

The four horsemen of the Apocalypse - Brutes, Drones, Jackals, Prophets.

The seven seals and trumpets - The Six remaining Halos and the Ark or Seven Armies of the Flood?

I wonder what the Arbiter could represent though. Is it possible that he could be linked to the parable of the Lost Sheep? Could he also be leading the people on Delta Halo who may represent the Rapture, while the fighters on Earth have to ride out the storm of Armageddon?

In the end, I think that if it follows this structure, the Master Chief will not die but instead be in charge of a Human/Elite/Grunt/Hunter kinship while the Brutes/Drones/Jackals/Prophets are all hunted down and exterminated.

You have got to be kidding! Comparing the Halo3 TRAILER to the Book of Revelations?! It was just a PREVIEW, nothing more!

The whole factual basis of the story as being the final great battle between good and evil, not just certain facts from the trailer, made this theory.

There are several biblical references throughout Halo's storyline. Check up on several threads and around the internet. You will find it.

First of all I agree with sockpuppet, you guys are digging in too deep with these crazy theories. Just wait until the game comes out then start your theories, but then again it is you own time so do what you want with it. Secondly, there was 3 anti-christs just so you know. I think that the 4 horseman would at least include a Elite, after all they were the Prophets royal gaurds for a long period of time before the brutes showed up and took their place. And there is no possible way that you can compare Jesus to Master Chief

Obviously, Master Chief would win...

No matter what you do in life, you will disappoint someone.
No matter what you say, you will offend someone.
No matter what you think, someone will think you're an idiot.

Find and eliminate these people.

Other than taking examples from the Bible and applying them literrally, this idea is not far-fetched. Bungie admits that Halo has religious influence, and the role of MC as the savior for mankind cannot be downplayed. In a loose way, I definitely believe Halo is tied to the Bible, too many things in common to deny it. The ark, the flood, the covenant, and MC's role as messiah are all influenced by the Bible, but I think it is farfetched to go paralleling events because remember, this is a completely different game. It might be influenced by the Bible but it does not mimic plot.

I am not going to go all preachy though, but these are cold hard facts that we are looking at. Several key events draw strangely odd parallels to key events in the Bible/Revelation.

yoo•zel- ('yoo-zhul): slang: vb.

Officium quod Fidelitas.

Okay... is this going a little too much into theory when Biblical things are brought up and this only has the potential to go south and quickly.
