Everytime I go into matchmaking and see a player with the Halo 3 nameplate and even Halo 2, I check their legacy. I figure since they have the nameplate they got Halo 3 on launch day. But nearly everytime I see Halo 3 "Player Since 2010/2011" This doesn't make sense? Of the millions of people who played Halo 3 when it came out, nearly none of them are playing Reach. Proof in its self.

What does that have to do with MW3?

And why can't I play both games?

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

Hold it right there.

Hello. Name's Brian. Look, if you're looking for a flame war with me, just open up the Flood and write up some not-nice things about religion and I'll bring my nukes to the party.

If you want some other way to contact me, you can forget it.

If you're interested in some of my work, you can check my homepage out.

This based on your observations on a very limited window of the playing community?

I don't know, it's probable that Halo Reach simply is bad, or simply just that there are far more interesting games out there.

If you want to keep researching, I suggest you hit up Halo 3, maybe the millions that got Halo 3 on Launch Day are currently playing Halo 3.

It shows Reach's retention rate was so bad. Nearly no Halo 3 players, play Reach. Sounds like a step down to me.

Also, this has nothing to do with MW3.

Moreover, being 'loyal' to a video game is rather stupid.

I used MW3 as an example because it has large population therefore a likely chance to have former Halo players.

Where is your proof other than personal observation?

Actually, I've seen this being shown on various threads, such as the large number of Reach's sales of the comparatively small active community, even at only a few months after Launch.

They were 10+ months-year old threads, I don't think I'm going to dig around for such an ancient artifact.

Go into MM and look at a people's legacy. You'll see just how hard it is to find a player who played Halo 3 since 2007. A million played H3 on launch, now they're gone.

I'm a former Halo player that is mostly playing Skyrim, not MW3.

I only played MW3 for the Campaign and Spec Ops. And that's the part I liked. The online Multiplayer can go rot in a hole.

Opinions are like butholes. Everyone's got one, nobody wants to hear about it.

...what? Where does MW3 fit into this?

My problems [with Reach] are basically just full parties, mlg, and people who go out of their way not to get killed.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I play Halo 3 and Skyrim. MW3 is near to Reach in being bad.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

So you put MW3 in the title to get people to read your post.

I intend to live forever, or die trying,

so far, so good.

I have not played Halo 3, since the release of REACH.

I played over 4000 games of Halo 2, and over 3000 games of Halo 3.

Your statement is incorrect.

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

You want a sandwich? Sure. As long as you don't mind me putting poison in it.

Yeah. I use the AR, so what? All you can do is scream and rage about me using the weapon.

My cousin can prove you wrong. He plays Halo: Reach, he played the Halo 3 Campaign with a friend earlier and he has never played MW3 online.

  • 01.16.2012 7:41 PM PDT

First of all, you are a -blam!- nub. Second of all, none of my friends play MW,none of them. If you are a Halo fan you either play Reach or Halo 3. But one never goes to a -blam!- nubby game like MW. Nub! Haha.

Your argument failed miserably the second you mentioned MW3
