As you progress throughout your life you realize that the older you get the closer your are to death, the only thing you cannot change.

I came to a realization, I've been on here for almost 3 years, 3 freaking years. Over that time I've noticed many things, the prime one is how this community has changed within the span of that time. People that I knew have left and others have taken their place, I don't even recognize half of the legendary members now, I use to know all of them.

And, just so this isn't a blog, did anyone notice the shift in the "great shows we grew up with?" three years ago it was Hey Arnold, now it's more Fairly Odd Parents, has anyone noticed that?

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

3 years isnt a long time in my opinion. But its different for everyone.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

But no matter what, the lumpy pudding is still inadvisable to eat.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Don't even get me started

-mod edit- That's not necessary

OT: I haven't really been here long enough to notice any changes. At all. Whatsoever. It seems like this forum is extremely repetitive, actually.

Sure, the topics and faces change, but the overall feel hasn't really changed to me in the time that I've been here.

The community change? Impossible!

Yeah, it changes but so does everything with age. Do I miss some things from the "old community," sure. However, the current users on the site offer new perspectives and suggestions. If everything stayed the same, we'd never move into the future. I, for one, can't wait to see the new community to come with Bungie's next ip. Especially if Bungie's next game is not a sci fi FPS.

I need some more nostalgic Nintendo fan boys to discuss games with.

I also maintain that Chrome is weaksauce, and IE9 is fast and works very well

I do feel a bit of nostalgia while browsing through old threads and recognising members who no longer post now. The people who enjoyed posting about Halo 3 when I first joined up seemingly disappeared after Reach was released, while at the same time new faces began popping up.

I can't wait to see what happens when Destiny is announced and eventually released. It should be the biggest change the site has ever gone through (or at least since I've been here.)
