It seems like every great trilogy has, for the most part, a happy ending. Will Halo 3 follow the same pattern? Will Halo 3 actually be the last part of the Halo series? (God hope so!)

Or will Halo 3 go with the new choice trend, where depending on certain thigns you do, there can be multiple endings. Such as; MC sacrificing itself for the survival of the human race a la Matrix style, the humans losing the war, the humans winning the war a la War of the Worlds style (face it, as is the human race is screwed)

What do you guys think?

Flame Sama's Portal. Home of the anti-emo teenage writer/gamer Flame Sama, stop by and read some time.

By the way, my gamertag is really 'Flame Sama'.

This account is inactive-it's a relic of a former time for Bungie.net, back when groups were riding high prior to the release Halo 3.

No matter what you do in life, you will disappoint someone.
No matter what you say, you will offend someone.
No matter what you think, someone will think you're an idiot.

Find and eliminate these people.

Actually, the covenant suceeds and kills everything about an hour into the game, so...happy ending for everyone, no cliffhangers there.

um...the humans didn't lose in the Matrix. They kind reached a cease-fire...permanantly. also, master chief is not an IT

He meant the hero sacrifices himself to save humanity. Notice the comma is before he says, "the humans losing the war".

Raiden from MGS2 comes and slays the misled Covenant forces.

Jeez, Arbiter haters... Anyways I wouldn't mind seeing Arbiter die dramatically (as long as it wasn't cheesy) though I would be deeply saddened. I would rather him stay alive, that way we could possibly see another game down the pipeline, or at least another book.

Bungie did say Halo 3 was the end of THIS story-arc, or something of that nature. That tells me that either A) We see some more Chief action that doesn't deal with the Covenant's Great Journey, the Halos, or the forerunners or B) We see a new character emerge in this same continuity. Thoughts?
