I'll keep this short: it's the poster's responsibility to insure that their post is worth reading. Pretty obvious, isn't it? It's not the fault of the reader if you dragged on for too long, made a distracting error, or committed one of a variety of other mistakes that would result in the loss of their attention.
It's your problem, not theirs. Know your audience. If you have no regard for who's reading your post, you don't have much room to be angry if it misses its mark.
It's your fault. So it's my fault that people are lazy? No. It's not my fault. If a user does not like the thread, or is too important to read it, it's their fault if they post in it. Not mine. If you don't like a thread or cant understand, why the hell would you post and blame it on the OP that your post makes no sense?I think Primo may be referring to the threads that go forgotten and if that is the case I agree. I also agree with your OP however, I find it annoying when I see a thread being spammed causing other threads to be overlooked. The thing about Primo's point (if I am correct in what he means) is that it is up to the creator of a thread to make their thread appealing. If the viewers of a thread find that thread worth discussing then they will or should post in it, you do not know how many people are viewing your thread.
And that brings me to another idea: Why can we not see how many views a thread has had on Bungie.net? I'm sure that's something that has been discussed before though.
EDIT: Or maybe that's not what Primo meant.
EDIT 2: Or maybe that is what Primo meant!
