Subject: A Democratic Bungie.net

My future is certain, I will one day fly away. All because I am saved from the penalty of sin. I know he lives.

I like the fact that you can't really ask to be a mod. (you can ask but probably won't recieve) If you are mod matterial, they will ask you. And that is the way that it should be.

People voting for such a thing would turn messey. And then you would have some of the jerks crying for a recount at the end of the election.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better myself.

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

No. Every election would be a popularity contest.

GrownPrism is NOT my gt. Happened when signing into my xbox live account. My real gt is here:

This wouldn't work. People would vote for their friends or the more popular people rather than people who could do a good job. It would turn into a popularity contest.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

As you waste your breath complaining about life, Someone out there is breathing their last. Appreciate what you have.

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

Who the hell do you think I am?

If these forums were actually run that way, it would be pretty friggen hilarious.

I'm going to vote a big N.O. for this one. I've seen what the community is capable of when voting for something serious...

This too.

I'm not stating my opinion either way on a democratic Bungie.net. I'm just agreeing that some people should be made mods.

Qbix69 for mod.

Eat raw meat.
Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

Giving democratic power to B.net is like giving firecrackers to penguins:

It's cute and funny for awhile, but then you get blood and dead penguins everywhere.

I would not trust our community to nominate moderators.

specially if they let the Flood vote

I like the system right now, even though sometimes some acts by the mods are kinda dumb. But if we picked the modds, say good bye to the site lol.
And at the end of the day, I love our mods:D

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I prefer bungie.net the way it is, to be honest. I would imagine a -blam!- storm if bungie.net was democratic.

Never give up and eventuly you will win.
Can't stop me or break me down.
I am a christian.

No this is teh interwebz. It shouldn't be treated like a way of life.

I spend too much time here.. too much time indeed.

I tweet?

I wouldn't want this place with voting on something as insignificant as font colors; no way I'd trust this place with something like voting for moderators and the like.

Nope, you need a new website for that. Not an already established one.

If there was ever an 'election', it would turn into a popularity contest.

This. Is. A monarchy.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

And so someone with an army of 100 alts has a voice 100 times louder than a member who has put in the time and created a single account that they value? Pffffft.

Democracy on the Interwebs is a bit of a "if I care more, or have more free time, I can shout louder than you can!" and as such, is a neat concept, but a terrible reality. It's not the "tyranny of the majority" that you get with an actual democracy, it is a "tyranny of the determined and/or tech savvy".
