I've always wondered if people actually buy things from them
If nobody bought from telemarketers, there would be no telemarketers...

RC Clone is the anti-thesis of a lurker.

I remember there was a guy selling tapes of him trolling telemarketers.

Like a guy selling curtain cleaning spray called and the guy asked if it would get blood out. Lots and lots of blood. He also asked if the spray could get blood out of carpets and off walls.

It was lols.

I'm not really an Apple person (Bananas forever) but damn, that's kinda sad.

Before my father died, he threw a corded phone at a glass sliding door and broke it.

Because of a telemarketer.

He had problems.

IF anything, the right path for gaming is to ensure that "Casual" players become worthy opponents to play against.

fkn lol. "LETS MAKE THE FOOTBALL FIELD 20 YARDS LONG AND GIVE THE AWFUL TEAM THE OPTION TO TWO HAND TOUCH INSTEAD OF TACKLE"

Basically what you just said.

1-50 promoted boosters. It was terrible how many alts were made. Reach has the same infection, but less of it.

But 1-50 was actually fun. Pros definitely outweighed cons in that instance, imo.

There's always room for you, If you want to be my friend.

Relevant. Also to all you derp casuals: don't overstep your bounds. Remember that CoD and Skyrim are of your domain.

There is nothing wrong with playing a game casually. There is however, something wrong with trying to make a game specifically meet to only your needs, for example look at the 343 forums. There is people there that want blam!ing tornado guns.

Halo 3 was disaster. People were desperate to spend money on a virtual rank and skill that they did not even have.

Good. The sooner the competitive idiots leave the better.

The fact that it is a better game than Reach in almost every aspect.

Huh...you know we blame ourselves a lot. I doubt anyone asked for a lot of things in this game. Face it. Bungie wanted to do something new, create the Halo game they wanted to play.

Not a lot of people liked that. Not the communities fault.

As for competive players being a dieing breed...

Starcraft. Nuff said.

Halo 3 had a feeling of challenge. In this game I could just get all my decent friends on my friends list, play any playlist other than MLG, and then win 99% of the games. Being an inheritor in this game is just a measure of how much you have played, and the amount of time played means virtually nothing in terms of skill. In halo 3 having a legitimate 50 was a sign that the player was constantly put in challenges and overcame these challenges; this player had skill. If you're a casual you probably won't understand what I'm saying, but this is why people loved halo 3.

Well considering we were talking about the ranking system... the ranking system. It was fun. Having a goal that was difficult to obtain and actually means something if you fulfill it legitimately is, imo, much funner than

OMG I PLAI ALOT GUIZ

I still have the urge to get to a 50 in Halo 3, though I know I don't have the ability. Now ask my my Reach rank - I couldn't tell you it, nor do I care if I ever gain another TimePlayedUnit ever again.

So pretty much what you're all saying is that it is all about competitive gaming. Halo is dieing because they made the ranks different on a different game. Like really? Who cares. It's a game. I'm not the one to say i'm not caring about my rank. 1-50 was good for the second and the third halo. They pretty much combined the ranking system if you look at it right. 1-50 1-43 are gold and silver ranks. 44-50 are mythic, noble, eclipse, etc. Like halo 2 did.
Back on topic: They made arena for this reason. Although it's not like MLG but MLG is trash ever since they made the ZB and NS rule on it. If you're the one saying that, "OH, Arena is for -blam!-s who can't play MLG". Wrong! Guarantee that you couldn't get passed 10% Onyx. Now I'm not saying that's completely true, but it's what the majority of what people say. Anyone can play MLG now. I used to not be able to get more then 10 kills a match while playing it. Now I get 35-40 a match because of the damn patch. It is dieing slowly but there is Arena.
Although this is just my opinion. Being Bias against it I really don't care.

Which proved it was effective. Having a 50 meant something, and people were willing to pay good players to get one for them.

Every system will have flaws. At least the 1-50's only flaw was good players making some dollar. It's a lot better than the system Reach has where anybody can be an inheritor by AFKing.
