Im not too sure but they look like heretic banshees flyin over the chief!!!!

In halo 2 i loved it when the heretics where revealed. i almost cryed (very emo of me) but it added so much depth to the storyline and i knew it would have the largeest impact on halo 3

iv noticed the heretics have been absent from many theories even my own, this would put bungie in a perfect postion to suprise the world with the return of the heretics.

Well Put, but the Brutes, Jackals, Drones and Prophets are the ones who should be the Heretics, there doing the WRONG thing

Well, the term heretic is basically one that goes against the religion. The Prophets (and others) are still going by what they believe. They still believe the Haloes are going to send them on a Great Journey. The heretics at the beginning of Halo 2 knew that the Haloes were weapons too, so now (in the Prophet's beady little eyes) the Arbiter & Co. are heretics.

Well they arent Heretic banshee's like you see in H2, they are just regular banshees added for effect.

tbh, they didnt look like heratic banshees (as in the yellow ones in halo 2)
but whats to stop the Elites from using the purple banshees n e how?

that large a presence of heratics wouldnt be able to go unmissed n a covie controlled earth.. so personally, despite the fact its an ok theory..i dont think its possible (also aint most of teh covie stuck near a flood controlled HCharity?)

I thought that the Herisy?* was only confined to a small part of Delta Halo while there was still alot of tention bettween the elites, grunts and hunters / profits, drones, jackles and brutes

*Dyslexic!!!!

Seeing as though the thingy at the end of Halo 2 shows a completely empty High Charity (save Cortana and Gravemind) the Elites probably got off it. And they wouldn't just hang around on Delta Halo for long, so they'll go to Earth (most likely).

You can assume that Arbiter & Co. would take 343 to Earth in case they can't figure out how to deactivate the Ark. They'd need his knowledge to save teh galaxy.

I agree with most off this. But the Elites aren't stupid, they would first regroup their forces instead off jumping right in to the battle.

A NEW VEHICLE! LETS JUST HOPE WE CAN FLY IT!!!

If you look REAL close at the trailer for Halo 3, you can find that alongside with the banshees, a new vehicle flies by. I haven't played Halo 2, so I would'nt know if it was available since 2, or is new for 3!!!

Have fun lookin'
