But spawn killing is more efficient at letting them secure the win.
Should they also let you have the Rockets because, "they've gotten enough kills with them for one game"?
I'm not saying any of that. What I'm saying is that pinning an enemy team in their base and keeping them there untill the match ends simply kills the enjoyment for said trapped team. Once they're out of their base, everything is in flux and anything can happen, if the better team gets all the good weapons and vehicles, so be it, they're better, they can use them to gain an advantage, but at least even in this situation, the less skilled team can still rack up a few kills and potentially get these weapons and vehicles for themselves (as I say, eveything is in flux).
It's for that reason I favour a system where a team physically cannot get into an enemy base. The battle can only take place outside of it in that case.
Still doesn't change anything. Spawn killing is done because it works. Giving the other team the chance to move and organize is just giving them the chance beat you.
Also if it was setup like that then they would just camp the base exits.
It works, no doubt, but as I mentioned before, games are meant to be enjoyed. A team of randoms fighting a party communicating with each other has little/no chance of escaping the spawn trap unless they are all exceptionally skilled. Tell me, would a team of randoms be enjoying themselves in that situation? Handing over weapons I also do not advocate, but by letting the enemy out you give them a decent/half-decent chance of at least a reasonable fight (still won't matter if you're skilled and communicating with a party) - at least then you can present yourself with a challenge and one team isn't spawn killed.
Yup, I can see where you're coming from with the camping the exits, but that can be limited by how many exits there are and how many players there are per side, I still think that's preferable to actually be able to be inside the base though, as (only e.g. I can think of at the moment) for example, on Haemorrage.
