Caputofish -- Are you man enough?

First off, Bungie for some reason deleted my last post. Separation from the Bible. It is unreasonable for Bungie to base their game on the Christian Bible. There are two main reasons;
1) If Bungie had made connections or even base their games on the Bible, many "non-believers of the Christian Faith" would rebel. With that said, many parents of those children would try to convince the government that it is bad to make those connections because his/her son/daughter is not of that faith. This would result in the Halo franchise being taken off the shelves and Halo 3 to stop production.

(Bungie is not that dumb. Yes, there are similarities, like the Arch, Covenant, Flood,etc., but these are most likely out of sheer coincidence.)

2) If bungie based their game on the bible, then we would already know the outcome of Halo 3, So it would be pointless to buy the game. Again, Bungie would not do that.

Although there are many references in Bungie that can be associated with the Bible, it is not their sole inspiration. Furthermore, it's called Separation of Church and State, not Separation of Church and Companies. The government could not do anything if Halo became a Christian video game. Bungie could have Jesus come out of the Ark and battle Allah the leader of the Covenant, and the government couldn't do a thing. Freedom of speech my friend. Now that I've said that, don't worry about Bungie becoming too preachy because they know that this is supposed to be a sci-fi game and not a tool to convert people, or whatever you think they are trying to do.

Caputofish -- Are you man enough?

My point is they WOULDN'T do it. It would result in mass hesteria and the games would be taken off the shelves.

Bungie can do whatever they want with Halo. If people who arent chritstian see the connections to Christanity or parents don't want their children seeing it, then DON'T PLAY IT. Movies are based on religion all the time, it doesn't mean they will be banned because they show a religion.

No we won't know the outcome just because there are similarities to the Bible.

FREDOM OF SPEECH HAS LIMITS. you cannot say, let's go out and kill black people. YOU CAN'T. And yes the government CAN do something. GTA San Andreas was banned in 13 states for having -blam!- references. Halo 3 can be banned for connecting to the bible, if enough people support it.

Exactly! Was Passion of the Christ banned by theaters because of its content? No, and it still went on to break sales records. Stop worrying so much Bulkhead.

First off, Bungie for some reason deleted my last post. Separation from the Bible.

First off, Bungie did not delete it. I did, as it:
* Was not a separate topic, and could have been addressed in an existing Bible Correlation post.
* Therefore did not merit an individual post
* Went slightly political.

It is unreasonable for Bungie to base their game on the Christian Bible. There are two main reasons;
If you think that through, you will notice that there is a difference between a game that shares similarities. Whether they are true or not isn't going to affect what's already been sold. Look at Chronicles of Narnia.

(Bungie is not that dumb. Yes, there are similarities, like the Arch, Covenant, Flood,etc., but these are most likely out of sheer coincidence.) Ark. Covenant, Holy Light etc... There are quite a few "coincidences".

2) If bungie based their game on the bible, then we would already know the outcome of Halo 3, So it would be pointless to buy the game. Again, Bungie would not do that. Again it wasn't based on, just shared similarities with.

Now, since you have
* Blatently ignored the proper place to post
and
* Blatently reposted a clearly deleted topic

You will be enjoying a no-expenses paid vacation from the forums.

People don't do that though. They WANT to rebel. If enough people support that, then If Halo 3 connects to the Bible, then it can be banned. Just like the book, "To kill a mocking bird" or GTA SAN ANDREAS.
