heres all of my ideas for the entire game (most of my suggestions are for multiplayer, halo's main usage):
*please note that whenever i refer to anything about killing something or something's shields, assume im talking about normal shields (100%), with no dmg resistance or vulnerabilities.
WEAPONS-
HUMAN-
ASSAULT/BATTLE RIFLE-the look in the H3 trailer is really cool. its like a H1 assault rifle with the H2 battle rifle muzzle. it should fire inaccurately (not too bad tho) and be semi-automatic. when you scope in, it should be accurate, 1 shot bursts that you must fire individually (like the br in the H2 trailer)
PISTOL-the pistol in H3 should fire faster than the H1 pistol, but slower than the H2 pistol. it should be a little bit more powerful than the H2 pistol. also there should be no scope. it also needs to sound deeper, and keep so you can dual wield them
SMG-this gun really needs to sound deeper. i dont want another popcorn maker in H3. should fire inaccurately at long ranges, and hold more total ammo
SNIPER RIFLE-put back night vision for dark levels. it really sucks when your on a dark tv and sniping on backwash
ROCKET LAUNCHER-keep the tracking. it should kill warthogs, ghosts, banshees, and spectres in 1 hit, and it should kill scorpions, wraiths, and shadows in 2 hits (or 3 from the back)
SHOTGUN-should have far greater range than in H2, but less than H1, and should be as powerful as H1 shotgun. make it worth its weight of taking up 1 of my weapon slots
FRAGMENTATION GRENADE-less throwing range than H1, but WAY longer range than H2. should take out all shields (not kill) if it explodes close enough (like 3-4 feet)
COVENANT-
PLASMA PISTOL-charging rate in H3 could be a little bit faster. individual shots could do more dmg than H2
PLASMA RIFLE-its fine. nothing wrong with it
BRUTE PLASMA RIFLE-take it out completely. it overheats too fast, and i think its a rip off just changing the color. if youre gunna make a new gun, make a new gun
NEEDLER-needs a higher rate of velocity for the needles, and needs to track just a little better. make its worth picking up and people say "I CALL NEEDLER!"
CARBINE-regular firing should be semi-automatic. when scoped in, fires powerful 1 shots. should carry more ammo per clip as well as max ammo
BEAM RIFLE-add heat or infrared vision
BRUTE SHOT-should kill people in 2 direct hits, or 4 bounced hits. it should also actually bounce off walls, like its supposed to. most the time in H2, it explodes on walls even at an extreme angle. 4 shots per clip is good, but could be 5
ENERGY SWORD-1 lunge should kill someone, or 2 regular slashes. lunging distance is fine in H2
FUEL ROD GUN-add it in multiplayer!!! should be almost exactly like the one in H2 campaign, how it tracks slightly with no tracking device (like the needler). should also track enemy infantry (but very slightly)
PLASMA GRENADE-again, needs a far greater throwing distance than H2. also it should explode a little faster than H2 (like .2 seconds), and it should not bounce of an enemy's gun. i hate it when i stick someone dead on and it bounces off the muzzle of their br. should kill you if your on top of it or 1-2 feet from it
VEHICLES-
HUMAN-
WARTHOG-DRIVER-the warthog should drive as fast as the H2 warthog and have the handling and turning stuff like the H1 warthog, more dmg resistance (not much)---PASSENGER-1st person view (to make it way easier to aim and shoot people, also so you can snipe and lock on with rockets)---GUNNER-1st person view, to shoot easier
SCORPION-DRIVER-the main cannon needs to sound like it did in H1. massive, deep sounds and it shakes your whole screen even when you just fire it. the one in H2 is too toned down-like its not even a tank. the H1 scorpion was perfect with its 3rd person view (it'd be kinda hard leading someone with your cannon in 1st person, couldnt really see over hills much), sounds, speed, turning, but the only thing was it didnt blow up. it should blow up kinda like it did in H2, but louder, because after all its 200 tons of solid alloy exploding in a massive inferno of scorching catastrophe (catches breath) phew---PASSENGERS-oh, you should also be able to hitch a ride on the side panels over the treads, like in H1. i was disappointed in H2. should be in 1st person, to snipe and stuff like that
PELICAN-DRIVER-3rd person. counter part to the banshee. not a fighting vehicle, but a flying transport. dont make it a full size pelican like in campaign, but a mini version. shows the hull of the ship as well as your shields (but the shields dont really matter, if the hull goes to 0, then the pelican blows up and everyone inside dies)---PASSENGERS-holds three, maybe two passengers (since its flying and fast and is a miniature version after all) and are in 1st person view, like in H1 on the mission "Halo" where youre on it alot. the pelican should also be used only for battles with 14-16 people-other wise a flying transport is over powered
STATIONARY CHAIN GUN-it needs to be a little more accurate and do some more dmg. for a chain gun, its pretty weak
COVENANT-
GHOST-same as H2 ghost, 3rd person, boosting is good
BANSHEE-keep it the way it is in H2, dont add the fuel rod at all, campaign or multiplayer, because then it is just plain out overpowered
WRAITH-main plasma artillery is fine, yet there is still no plasma autocannons that we can use. they should be put in, like press t
SPECTRE-DRIVER-keep it as it is in H2 with the 3rd person---PASSENGER-make it 1st person---GUNNER-its pretty good in H2, but it could have slower rate of fire, but more powerful bullets. actually, just make each round do just that much more dmg, so it balances with the shadow. make the gunner 1st person view
SHADOW-DRIVER-put it in matchmaking!!! just as fast as it is in H2, 3rd person---PASSENGER-carries 2 or 3 people in the hold, 1st person (seeing the inside)---GUNNER-very weak gun, so the spectre still has some use. the shadow is used as more as a transport, and the spectre used as more of an assault vehicle
