In all honesty I love Halo:CE for these reasons:
1. It was easy to pick up and play
2. There were bright and colorful textures and environments
3. The outdoor environments were large and felt very expansive
4. The graphics were crisp and clean, plus the game ran as smooth as silk
5. The Single player game was fun and even better in Co-Op
6. The Grunts
7. Multiplayer was a crazy good time and still is because of the options and game types
8. Indistructable warthogs and other vehicles in multiplayer
9. I liked the story and characters
10.The weapons worked really well for the game
11: Almost no loading time
How Halo: CE could have been a little bit better:
1: Not so many repeated levels.
2: The option to make the vehivles distructable in multiplayer would have been nice
3: The Needler was WAY to slow and tracked badly
4: Online Co-Op and Multiplayer would have been nice (Thank goodness for XBC)
Even with its flaws Halo:CE was one the best FPS I have ever played and still is.
Why I liked Halo 2:
1: Taking others' vehicles
2: Online Multiplayer WOOT!
3: Useful Marines
4: More weapons to choose from and duel weilding
5: The rockets can track
6: The game was very pretty
7: Fighting on Earth
8: The Shields are a lot better than in Halo:CE
9: At least Bungie is banning the hackers that they find and has yet to give up (Go Bungie, GO!)
10: Coagulation
11: The levels are not so repetitive
Why I get tired of playing Halo 2 after a few days.
1: That -BLAM-ing 'pop' texture loading
2: The levels felt very clostrophobic even when outdoors
3: No online Co-Op
4: The constant HACKING in multiplayer
5: I can put up with the so-called 'n**b combo' but the ones that use the one shot one kill BR trick, bug the crap out of me. I have killed super jumpers before, so that does not bother me that much.
6: Suiciders and teamkillers that I don't have the power to kick from the game. If they are on your team and they betray you more than once, you should be able to kick them in matchmaking even if you are not the host. That has always bothered me.
7: Assault is just CTF in reverse and with a big explostion. However it is really fun to beat people to death with the bomb.
8: The game was rushed.
Bungie has a bunch of smart people working for them so I'm sure that most of the problems with Halo 2 will be fixed and even better for Halo 3 when it comes out.
All I can hope for with Halo 3 is:
1: The Story line and level progresstion and development keep the game exciting.
2: Online or at the very least, system link Co-Op
3: Not so many online problems
4: Some multiplayer bots to practice with before going online
5: The multiplayer options to make vehicles indistructable or not. And the option to make the Sword lose power just like in the Halo 2 Singleplayer.
6: Maybe the option to record games onto the XB360 harddrive as a AVI movie or something similar, plus have it either record your voice while playing or maybe all voices. People could share there best games or copy them onto a USB device and put it on the computers hard drive or onto the internet.
7: I hope Bungie takes thier time with Halo 3 and not rush it like Halo 2.
These are just my thoughts anyone else?
