So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

Agreed. We should also give permanent bans for the incorrect use of "your" and "you're".

Once a user here first becomes a Mythic, they should receive this test.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

It'd be nice, but not everyone here is as ruthless on grammar as certain others...

especially me

  • 01.20.2012 11:02 PM PDT

No, but it would be nice if people actually made an effort to use good spelling and grammar on a regular basis.

  • 01.20.2012 11:36 PM PDT

Wake me, when you need me.

The OP is a gigantic douche for even suggesting such an idea.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

No, people who don't have any kind of a sense of grammar would still get in, and I really don't think it would make any difference, it would just be an annoying thing that you have to do when you join.

I don't always ban people but when I do I laugh uncontrollably...that's if I was a Forum Ninja.

Truth is a matter of perception.

YES! We do need this, good grammar is apart of the rules.

This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.

Yes I like this idea.

Well I think grammar is together of the rules.

Just no.

Just because someone isn't particularly eloquent doesn't mean their point is completely invalid, that's a fantastically snobby attitude OP.

At the end of the day, freedom of speech covers bad speech too.

If everybody's grammar were to be immaculate, trolls would have less bait, and that may lead to healthier discussions!

Trolls have enough bait anyway, healthier discussions aren't going to be any more frequent until we either ban every idiot, 12 year old and troll, or just stick to groups with selective membership.

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

No, People shouldn't take grammar as serious as they do. It's not a big deal. I've seen many users who don't even put periods at the end of there sentences. People should stop acting like it is a huge deal.

I just saw a green monkey nut shot a small tan lizard(?) in a gunny sack.

I'd love to see this. It would filter out so many grammar-impaired morons.

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

Wouldn't that get rid of nearly everyone?

Or people could evolve from IE to GChrome.

No, no, no. Way cruel to non-native speakers. If someone using your instead of you're bothers you that much find a grammar forum.

Also, Spartan presents a rather good point. Not all Bungie.net users are native speakers of English. What about them? If they speak English they're not breaking the rules, but should we kick them out on the street because the can't properly use their/there/they're?

If you can understand it, why chastise it?

Hlel, seplnig ins't ncesesray, so why shluold gmramar?
